Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for enhanced bandwidth negotiation. Some implementations more specifically relate to request-to-transmit (RTS) and clear-to-send (CTS) frame designs that support bandwidth negotiations over a range of bandwidths achievable in accordance with the IEEE 802.11be amendment, and future generations, of the IEEE 802.11 standard. In some implementations, a bandwidth negotiation frame (such as a CTS or RTS frame) may be configurable to support bandwidths greater than 160 MHz. In some aspects, the bandwidth negotiation frame may conform to a legacy control frame format. More specifically, one or more bits of a service field associated with the legacy control frame format may be repurposed to carry enhanced bandwidth information. In some aspects, a recipient of a bandwidth negotiation frame may interpret one or more bits of the service field to carry enhanced bandwidth information when the frame is transmitted by a non-legacy transmitting device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for channel access techniques in a multi-hop framework for ultra-high reliability (UHR). Some aspects more specifically relate to a transmission opportunity (TXOP) sharing mechanism according to which wireless communication devices can relay data frames along multiple hops within a same TXOP, a coordinated medium access scheme associated with relaying data frames between a root access point (AP) and a wireless station (STA) via multiple service periods, and various signaling mechanisms and frame formats according to which wireless communication devices can exchange or negotiate information associated with a coordinated medium access scheme. In some implementations, a coordinated medium access scheme may be associated with multiple time epochs (each associated with a service period) and differentiated channel access across the multiple time epochs may facilitate the relay with or without TXOP sharing within the associated service periods.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device (e.g., station (STA), access point (AP)) may transmit to a second wireless device during a service period, an initiating frame using a transmit beam that is based on a first beam training procedure performed between the devices prior to the service period. The first wireless device may perform a second beam training procedure during the service period based on an absence of a response frame from the second wireless device, based on an indication within the response frame received from the second wireless device, or based on identification of a change in a wireless channel relative to a previous beam training interval or previous service period. The first wireless device may then communicate one or more messages with the second wireless device using one or more beams that are based on the second beam training procedure.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for sharing resources of a wireless medium. Particular implementations relate more specifically to coordinated AP (CAP) time-division-multiple-access (TDMA) and orthogonal-frequency-division-multiple access (OFDMA) techniques for sharing the time or frequency resources of a transmission opportunity (TXOP). According to such techniques, an AP that wins contention and gains access to the wireless medium for the duration of a TXOP may share its time or frequency resources with other selected APs. To share its resources, the winning AP may partition the TXOP into multiple time or frequency segments each including respective time or frequency resources representing a portion of the TXOP, and allocate each of the time or frequency segments to itself or to one of the selected APs.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for communicating cross-link multi-link signaling (MLS) control signaling in wireless local area networks (WLANs). In various aspects, an apparatus may generate a frame that includes a header including an MLS subfield that includes a set of bits associated with a respective link of a set of links between the first MLD and a second MLD. The apparatus may configure a signaling type (s-type) of the MLS subfield with a value indicating a type of MLS control signaling associated with the MLS subfield, and may configure each bit of a first subset of bits of the MLS subfield with a value indicating that the type of MLS control signaling is applicable to the respective link associated with the bit. Further, the apparatus may output the first frame for transmission to the second MLD on a first link of the set of links.

Abstract: This disclosure includes a multi-link device (MLD) transmitting a frame on a first communication link associated with a first device of the MLD, the frame carrying a plurality of addresses of a respective plurality of peer devices associated with a mesh basis service set (MBSS), each of the plurality of addresses associated with one of a per-link address of the first communication link of the MLD or a medium access control (MAC) address of the MLD. In some instances, the addresses include first and second addresses indicating respective receiver and transmitter addressees of a peering instance, and include third and fourth addresses indicating respective MBSS egress and MBSS ingress points of the peering instance. The first and second addresses are associated with the per-link address of the first communication link, and the third and fourth addresses are associated with the MLD MAC address.

Abstract: A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) is associated with a first communication link, and one or more secondary APs of the AP MLD are associated with one or more respective secondary communication links of the AP MLD. The first AP of the AP MLD generates a frame including a first change sequence field and one or more secondary change sequence fields. The first change sequence field indicates a presence or absence of a critical update associated with the first communication link, and each of the one or more secondary change sequence fields indicates a presence or absence of a critical update associated with a corresponding secondary communication link of the AP MLD. The first AP of the AP MLD transmits the frame over the first communication link of the AP MLD to a station (STA) of a STA MLD.
