Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. a first donor node may serve a relay node, which in turn may serve a child node. The first donor node may determine to transfer (e.g., via a handover procedure) the relay node to a second donor node. The first donor node may transmit a first context transfer request for the relay node to the second donor node, and may transmit a second context transfer request for the child node of the relay node to the second donor node. The first donor node may indicate a correlation between the two context transfers. The second donor node may identify the correlated context transfers, and may successfully perform a migration procedure for the relay node and any descendent devices or nodes based on the correlated context transfers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A hub user equipment (UE) in a star topology may broadcast to a set of peripheral UEs indicating slots when the hub UE will not be in a transmission mode. The hub UE may broadcast a slot format indication to the peripheral UEs to indicate operating modes in a set of slots. In a first group of slots, the hub UE may operate in a forward mode, transmitting sidelink communications to the peripheral UEs. In a second group of slots, the hub UE may operate in a reverse mode, receiving sidelink communications from the peripheral UEs. In slots when the hub UE operates in the reverse mode, if a peripheral UE does not have data or control information, the peripheral UE may enter a sleep mode in one or more slots of the second group to save power.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, handling header compression in scenarios with concurrent connections, such as make-before-break (MBB) handover or dual connectivity (DC) scenarios. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) can include concurrently communicating with a first base station (BS) on a connection with the first BS and with a second BS on a connection with the second BS during a handover procedure. The UE maintains a context for a header compression protocol for the connection with the first BS and the connection with the second BS. The concurrently communicating includes using the header compression protocol context for sending one or more packets, receiving one or more packets, or both.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium of wireless communication for a network node to transport signaling used to coordinate management of a RAN for local traffic between a first node and a UE across a wireless connection. The network node may establish a first wireless signaling connection between a first node and a second node. The network node may encapsulate or decapsulate traffic associated with a second wireless signaling connection within the first wireless signaling connection. The second wireless signaling connection corresponds to a non-F1 interface of a control plane or user plane network function that terminates at the first node. For instance, the network node may be a consumer premises equipment (CPE) serving a UE, a base station wirelessly serving the CPE, or a core network node providing control for the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device node, such as an end station or a user equipment (UE) associated with the end station, may receive, from a controller node of a time-sensitive network (TSN), a configuration for communicating over the TSN. The TSN may include a plurality of nodes that are synchronized according to a common synchronization configuration and that are configured for transmitting messages between the controller node and the first device node within a latency threshold condition configured for the TSN. The first device node may identifying data to transmit to a second device node of the plurality of nodes and may communicating with the second device node via a sidelink connection associated with the wireless radio access network.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a first configuration and a second configuration, wherein the first configuration is for a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle and the second configuration is for a configured grant (CG), wherein the DRX cycle is associated with a set of active time durations and a set of non-active time durations, and wherein the CG is associated with a transmission in one or more non-active time durations of the set of non-active time durations; receive information identifying a mask, wherein the mask indicates a modified configuration for the transmission in the one or more non-active time durations or a modified multiplexing scheme for the CG; and selectively perform or skip the transmission in accordance with the CG and the mask. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first system information update notification and a second system information update notification. The UE may decode, based at least in part on information included in the first system information update notification, the second system information update notification to identify one or more system information blocks that are to be updated. The UE may update the one or more system information blocks based at least in part on decoding the second system information update notification. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first node of a wireless communications network may determine a service type of the first node. The first node may transmit, to a second node during a random access procedure, an indication of the service type of the first node. The first node may then establish a connection with a unit of the second node that is for serving nodes of the wireless network associated with the service type. The connection may be established based on transmitting the indication of the service type.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for using layer one (L1) or layer two (L2) signaling to indicate a primary cell (PCell) or primary secondary cell (PSCell) to a user equipment (UE). The use of L1 or L2 signaling to indicate a PCell or PSCell may be referred to as L1 or L2 mobility and may lower the latency at the UE associated with transitioning to communicating with the PCell or PSCell. A UE may receive radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a base station indicating a set of cells configured for L1 or L2 mobility and indicating a list of candidate cells for a PCell or PSCell. The UE may then receive L1/L2 signaling from the base station identifying the PCell or indicating activation of the PSCell.
