    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for search space channel sensing in sidelink communication between one or more sensors/actuators (SAs) and programmable logic controller (PLC) in internet of things (IoT) applications. Particularly, the techniques described herein configure a search space (e.g., subset of all available sub-channels/resources) for transmission and reception of sidelink packets (e.g., physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)) between the PLC from the one or more SAs. Thus, in some instances, the UE may perform congestion control metrics for a one or more search spaces in which the UE may transmit sidelink communications. The congestion control metrics that may be limited to the search space may preserve UE resources that would otherwise need to be expended to perform channel sensing on an entire resource pool prior to initiating sidelink communication.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, for a sidelink transmission over an unlicensed band and associated with a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU), one or more candidate resources of a set of candidate resources that are within an adaptive effective contention window (ECW). The UE may adjust at least one parameter of the adaptive ECW to determine an adjusted at least one parameter based at least in part on a channel access output associated with the one or more candidate resources. The UE may transmit the MAC PDU using the one or more candidate resources or an additional one or more candidate resources, wherein the additional one or more candidate resources are selected based at least in part on the adjusted at least one parameter. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that help reducing transmission overhead related to sidelink control information (SCI). For example, when a transmitter UE has established a sidelink communication with a receiver UE, the transmitter UE may schedule with at least one semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) process at a first time interval. The transmitter UE may sense whether a resource is available for transmissions to the receiver UE based on decoding an SCI, such as an SCI 0-1 message. The SCI is transmitted at a second time interval that is greater than the first time interval. For example, the second time interval may be a multiple of the first time interval of the at least one SPS process. The second time interval may be flexible and may be increased to reduce the number of SCI messages transmitted in certain time periods in order to reduce communication overhead.

    Abstract: Base stations of neighbor cells can coordinate with each other in allocating grant-free uplink (GUL) resources for a device-to-device (D2D) connection or channel between user equipments (UEs) across the neighbor cells. The base stations coordinate to determine a condition conducive to D2D communication between the UEs. If the condition exists, the base stations coordinate to allocate network resources for D2D communication between the UEs, and establish a D2D connection between the UEs using the allocated network resources for D2D communication.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink transmissions through sidelinks for multi-path diversity. A method that may be performed by a base station (BS) includes configuring one or more groups of user equipments (UEs) of a group of UEs with a configuration of one or more resources. The one or more resources includes one or more sidelink channels between each of the UEs in the group of UEs and an uplink channel between the BS and each of the UEs in the group of UEs. The BS receives data from at least one UE in the group of UEs via at least one of the uplink channels, wherein the data is associated with a different UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include an eNB predetermining a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor based on resource reservation information received from at least one base station, and transmitting information indicative of the predetermined bandwidth parts in a radio resource control (RRC) message. In some cases, a base station may transmit information indicative of predetermined bandwidth parts including a monitoring schedule to monitor either the first bandwidth part or the second bandwidth part in a timeslot of a set of timeslots. Another method may include receiving a predetermined monitoring schedule from a base station, and selecting a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor on a physical downlink control channel based on the received schedule.
