    Abstract: In an aspect, a first UE communicates (e.g., transmits and/or receives) traffic of a first type with a second UE via a unicast link. The first UE sets up support for transport of traffic of a second type over the unicast link. The first UE tunnels (e.g., transmits and/or receives) the traffic of the second type between the first UE and the second UE over the unicast link. In another aspect, instead of tunneling the traffic of the second type over the same unicast link, the first UE sets up a second unicast link for traffic of the second type with the second UE, with the unicast links having a shared link management status. In another aspect, a BS allocates a set of resources to support the associated (e.g., bound) unicast link.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine to perform a conditional handover procedure to transfer from a source cell to a target cell of a plurality of candidate target cells.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for determining a target base station timing advance value between a user equipment (UE) and target base station in connection with a random access channel (RACH)-less handover procedure. In one aspect, the UE may determine the target base station's timing advance based at least in part on a timing difference between the target base station and the source base station and based at least in part on a timing offset associated with an uplink and a downlink of the UE. In some aspects, the target base station may determine the timing advance using an uplink reference signal of the UE. In some aspects, the UE may report a timing difference between the target base station and the source base station, and the source cell may determine a timing advance based at least in part on the timing difference.

    Abstract: Various aspects pertain to ways to securing a peer-to-peer communication link that serves to relay transmissions to/from a managed mobile network node. A first user equipment may identify a second user equipment that can communicate via a peer-to-peer wireless interface and serve as a relay between the first user equipment and a managed mobile network node. A relay session key material may be obtained from the managed mobile network node. A peer-to-peer communication link between the first user equipment and the second user equipment may be established or modified by, for example, securing the peer-to-peer communication link based on the relay session key material. A protocol data unit session may be established, over the peer-to-peer communication link, between the first user equipment and the managed mobile network node for secured transmissions there between.

    Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to monitor the state of the connection with a peer UE in a sidelink communication. The apparatus establishes one or more unicast links with a second UE.     Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for proximity service (ProSe) authorization and provisioning. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to support ProSe communication and may indicate this capability to a radio access network (RAN) and a core network during registration of the UE. Based on the ProSe indication, the RAN may select an access and mobility management function (AMF) that supports ProSe authorization and policy provisioning and forward a registration request indicating the UE supports ProSe communication to the selected AMF. Upon authorizing the UE for ProSe operation, the AMF may transmit a registration accept message including a ProSe supported indication to the UE. The UE may then initiate a ProSe session with another UE based on the ProSe supported indication in the registration accept message.
