Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine that there is a duplex mode conflict among control resource sets (CORESETs), among search space (SS) sets, or among one or more CORESETs and one or more SS sets, select a duplex mode based at least in part on one or more conflict rules after determining that there is a duplex mode conflict, and communicate with a base station using the duplex mode. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to downlink (DL) transmissions using various powers and assigning frequency resources based on the powers. An example base station may transmit, to a first user equipment (UE), an indication of a first transmit (Tx) power for one or more first DL transmissions to a first group of a plurality of groups. The first group may include the first UE. The first Tx power may have a first power level different from a second power level of a second Tx power for one or more second DL transmissions to a second group of the plurality of groups. Then, the base station may transmit, to the first UE, a first DL transmission of the one or more first DL transmissions using the first Tx power. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: A method of wireless communications by a receiving sidelink user equipment includes detecting a lite sidelink synchronization signal (SL-SS) transmitted by a transmitting sidelink UE. The lite SL-SS may have a pattern with a reduced number of physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) symbols. The method also includes transmitting a demand requesting additional SL-SSs from the transmitting sidelink UE on indicated resources. Another method includes receiving a demand for additional sidelink synchronization signals (SL-SSs) from a receiving sidelink UE. This method further includes transmitting the additional SL-SSs in response to the demand.

In one example, a wireless base station may transmit a plurality of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs), with at least one of those SSBs being designated for a set of reduced-capability UEs. In another example, the base station may transmit a shared SSB/control resource set configured for compatibility with both legacy UEs and reduced-capability UEs. Abstract: A method of wireless communication at a transmitting device includes adding parity check bits to a set of information bits. The method also includes generating a non-coherent transmission signal by mapping the parity check bits and the set of information bits into a sequence of complex symbols. Further, the method may include transmitting the non-coherent transmission signal to a receiving device. A method of wireless communication at a receiving device includes receiving, from a transmitting device, a non-coherent signal having at least one segment. Each segment comprises a sequence of complex symbols corresponding to information bits and parity check bits. The method also includes jointly detecting the sequences from each segment of the received non-coherent signal by using the parity check bits.

Abstract: Aspects relate to supporting power control for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions on an uplink secondary component carrier (SCC) of a wireless communication system. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives a power control configuration from a base station for use by the UE for a PUCCH transmission on a selected uplink SCC. The UE then transmits, based at least in part on the power control configuration, the PUCCH to the base station on the selected uplink SCC. Closed-loop and open-loop power control examples are provided. In some aspects, common or shared power control configurations are provided by the base station for use with each component carrier of a PUCCH group. In other aspects, carrier-specific power control configurations are provided by the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to estimate interference for concurrent uplink and downlink communications based on an indication of one or more one or more characteristics of an interfering uplink signal communicated between a base station and a second user equipment (UE). The base station or the second UE may transmit, to a first UE, an indication of one or more characteristics of an uplink signal, such as a baseband of the uplink signal or one or more parameters of the uplink signal. The first UE may use the characteristic(s) of the uplink signal to estimate the baseband of the uplink signal and cancel interference associated with the uplink signal. For example, the first UE may use the baseband signal to estimate the interference and may subtract the estimated interference from a downlink signal received at the first UE.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), includes estimating a downlink channel to generate a channel estimate. The method also includes obtaining multiple precoding matrices, by a channel state information (CSI) module including a neural network encoder decoder pair, based on the channel estimate and multiple different multiple input multiple output (MIMO) ranks. The method further includes determining a best rank indicator based on the precoding matrices and spectral efficiency estimates for the different MIMO ranks. The method still further includes reporting, to a base station, the best rank indicator, a channel quality index (CQI), and CSI encoder output.
