Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for authentication of user devices to a display device are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: authenticating a first user device to a display device, wherein an authentication token is associated with the authentication of the first user device to the display device, wherein the authentication token is stored on a server in association with an identifier of the first user device, and wherein the first user device is provided with media playback control on the display device in response to the authentication; identifying, using the first user device, a second user device in proximity to the first user device; transmitting, from the first user device to the second user device, an invitation message to authenticate the second user device to the display device; and, in response to receiving a response to the invitation message from the second user device, transmitting, from the first user device to the second user device, the authentication token that causes the second user device to request authentication to the display device from the server, wherein the second user device is provided with media playback control on the display device in response to authenticating with the display device.

Abstract: A system includes an ingestion component configured to receive a request from an entity for content related to a content item and a user identity. The request has a content identifier representative of the content item and a token. A request processing component of the system is configured to access a database associated with the system and identify the content item and the user identity using the content identifier and the token, wherein the database has information associating the token with the user identity and associating the content identifier with the content item. In response to identification of the content item and the user identity, the request processing component directs a recommendation engine associated with the system to identify the content related to the content item and the user identity. Information identifying the content related to the content item and the user identity is then transmitted back to the entity.

Abstract: This document describes a digital component deduplication system for generating packetized data with encryption tokens for transmittal over one or more packetized networks. A packetized data search determines that an encryption token is included with the packetized data. The encryption token includes keyed data representing a first digital component. The packetized data search engine searches the keyed database to identify contents, in the keyed database, of one or more entries that includes the keyed data representing the first digital component. A list of candidate digital components is generated. For candidate digital components associated with a data interface for requesting an eligibility value from a second client device associated with the candidate digital component, a security server generates, using the data interface, additional packetized data comprising i) a request for the eligibility value from the second client device, and ii) the encryption token.

Abstract: An online system determines a client device associated with a user that is to receive a new notification. The client device presents the notification and receives an input to forward the notification to a different client device and/or a different application. The client device sends a request to the online system to forward the notification. The online system determines a list of available client devices and/or available applications that are able to receive a forwarded version of the notification and provides the list to the client device for selection. Upon receiving a selection, the client device sends the selection to the online system which generates the forward notification that is appropriate for the selected client device and/or selected application. Thus, the online system avoids over-notifying a user, while also enabling the user to consume the content of the notification according to his/her preferences.
