A key structure is provided. The present key structure includes a key cap, a scissor-type frame, an elastic contact body, a membrane circuit board, and a bottom board. A plurality of flanges is provided on the bottom of the elastic contact body, with the surface of the flange being formed as an embossed surface having a cross-striped structure. A print layer is provided on the area of the membrane circuit board corresponding to the flanges of the bottom of the elastic contact body, such that there is a height difference between the print layer and the membrane circuit board. The print layer is formed of a plurality of discontinuous printing portions between which a plurality of holes is formed. After the elastic contact body is bonded to the membrane circuit board by an adhesive, the press force of the elastic contact body caused by pressing the key can be released via the holes. The bonding area of the bottom of the elastic contact body is increased by the cross-striped structure of the embossed surface so as to enhance bonding between the elastic contact body and the membrane circuit board and prevent the adhesive from being extruded out from therebetween.

A press-type varistor switch is disclosed. A center of an upper cover is formed with a round hole. A head of a silicide cap is embedded into the round hole. Opposite sides of the seat are formed with a metal guide pin. The head of the silicide cap protrudes from a round hole of the upper cover so that the silicide cap is enclosed between the upper cover and the seat. Each of the adjacent sides of the metal guide pins are extended with a carbon-film resistor; and the two carbon-film resistors are not in contact to one another. An interior of the head is installed with a conductive rubber. The conductive rubber is above the two carbon-film resistors. When a force is applied to the silicide cap, the two carbon-film resistors are in contact with the two metal guide pins partially or fully so that the impedance is adjustable.

The upper casing is in substantially form of shell shape and defines a bottom surface and a top surface. The upper casing includes a multiple of housings distributed over a central portion of the bottom surface. Each housing receives one rubber dome. The method includes the steps of pouring a plurality of rubber domes over the bottom surface of the upper casing; shaking the upper casing such that one rubber dome is disposed into one corresponding housing while a number of leftover rubber domes are not received in any one of the housings; engaging a membrane circuit sheet with the central portion of the bottom surface; flipping the upper casing over such that the leftover rubber domes not covered by the membrane circuit sheet are cleaned up.
