Abstract: A method includes: responsive to a scan command, controlling a sensor assembly to scan a machine-readable indicium within a sensor field of view; obtaining an image corresponding to the sensor field of view; determining, from the machine-readable indicium, a decoded item identifier and a scan confidence level associated with the decoded item identifier; determining, from the image, a classified item identifier corresponding to the machine-readable indicium, and a classification confidence level associated with the classified item identifier; selecting, based on the scan confidence level and the classification confidence level, one of the decoded item identifier and the classified item identifier; and generating output data based on the selected one of the decoded item identifier and the classified item identifier.

The method includes: simultaneously acquiring an infrared image and a visible image for a target object; obtaining depth information of reference pixel points in the infrared image relative to the target object; obtaining depth information of other pixel points in the infrared image relative to the target object according to position information of the reference pixel points in the infrared image and the depth information of the reference pixel points in the infrared image; aligning the pixel points in the infrared image with pixel points in the visible image based on the depth information of the pixel points in the infrared image; and performing object recognition on the target object based on the aligned infrared image and visible image, to obtain an object recognition result of the target object.

Abstract: A method of tracking movement of particles in bronchus includes obtaining, from a video of the particles, a plurality of processed images, each of which contains a plurality of particle portions representing the particles, and implementing a tracking process for a reference image of the processed images. The tracking process includes, for each particle portion in the reference image, selecting a to-be-compared portion from among the particle portions in a next image immediately following the reference image, obtaining an expected range of movement of the particle represented by the particle portion according to a position of the particle portion, determining whether a corresponding position in the reference image that corresponds to a position of the to-be-compared portion in the next image is within the expected range, and storing the position of the to-be-compared portion into a track record that is associated with the particle when the determination is affirmative.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method includes accessing a video generated by a camera in a physical environment. The method further includes identifying, from a first video frame of the video, a first object of interest corresponding to a physical object in the physical environment. The method further includes storing a record for the first object of interest that includes a unique identifier. The method further includes identifying a second object of interest from a second video frame. The method further includes comparing variables of the first object of interest to variables of the second object of interest. The method further includes determining that the variables of the first object of interest match the variables of the second object of interest and then assigning the unique identifier to the second object of interest. The method further includes updating the record to include the second object of interest.

Abstract: An image sensor is positioned such that a field-of-view of the sensor encompasses portion of a beverage machine. The field-of-view includes a first zone associated with operating the beverage machine to dispense the beverage and a second zone in which a cup is placed to receive the beverage. A beverage assignment subsystem receives angled-view images from the image sensor. An event associated with an object entering one or both of the first zone and the second zone is detected. In image(s) associated with a start of the event, it is determined that both a hand of a person enters the first zone and the cup is placed in the second zone. If the cup remained in the second zone for at least a threshold time, the beverage is assigned to the person whose hand entered the first zone.

Abstract: A device includes a camera that detects image data of the head and eyes of the vehicle user. An image data evaluating unit determines, using the detected image data, positions of the eyes or the current viewing direction of the vehicle user.
