Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support resource utilization based event triggering. A wireless node in a wireless communications system may establish a connection with a core network via a path that includes one or more relay nodes. The wireless node may determine that a network load associated with one or more paths between the wireless node and the core network has changed, or that a difference between two or more network loads of different paths has changed. Based on such a determination, the wireless node may transmit a report to the network. In some cases, the network may receive the report from the wireless node, and may initiate a path change based on the report.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device (e.g., a sidelink user equipment (UE), such as a first UE) may receive sidelink communications from a second UE via a sidelink channel. The receiving device may transmit a feedback message to the second UE via a sidelink feedback channel using a first resource configuration, the feedback message based at least in part on the sidelink communications. The receiving device may identify a second resource configuration of the sidelink feedback channel associated with sidelink communications via the sidelink feedback channel. The receiving device may perform the sidelink communications with the second UE via the sidelink feedback channel using the second resource configuration of the sidelink feedback channel.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resource allocation operations. A transmit (TX) user equipment (UE) transmit a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) that indicates an allocated PSSCH resource portion. In a first aspect, the portion includes two non-contiguous subchannels. In a second aspect, the PSCCH indicates a layer or a node of a layer of a resource allocation layer structure. In a third aspect, the PSCCH indicates a subchannel group size for an allocated resource, using a bitmask or a value that corresponds to a subchannel and a group size combination. In a fourth aspect, the TX UE determines the portion based multiple values of subchannel and length combinations, the multiple values determined by disabling one or more combinations of a total number of subchannel and length combination for contiguous allocation, or for contiguous and non-contiguous allocation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) transmission of periodic messages via one or more sidelinks are described. SPS for a sidelink groupcast may be activated and/or deactivated using SPS control signaling for the sidelink groupcast. SPS control signaling utilized for activating/deactivating SPS for a sidelink groupcast may include a SPS indicator (e.g., conveyed at least in part via SCI format 0-1 message), an activation/deactivation indicator (e.g., conveyed at least in part via SCI format 0-1 message and/or SCI format 0-2 message), and/or a configuration index (e.g., conveyed at least in part via SCI format 0-1 message and/or SCI format 0-2 message). A wireless device may receive a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) grant of initial resources for receiving a transmission, receive, in a group control channel, a resource allocation for additional resources for receiving the transmission, determine resources for receiving the transmission based on the resource allocation and the SPS grant, and receive the transmission on the determined resources. A base station may transmit a SPS grant for scheduling a transmission on a set of resources, receive a feedback report from a user equipment (UE) indicating the UE requires additional resources for receiving the transmission, generate, based at least on the UE requiring the additional resources, a resource allocation for scheduling the additional resources for the UE, transmit the resource allocation in a group control channel, and transmit the transmission on the set of resources and the additional resources.

Abstract: Systems and methods configured for supporting multi-hop communications are described. Embodiments provide unavailable packet signaling by a base station aiding a multi-hop communication link. For example, the base station may transmit a predetermined “unavailable” message (e.g., an explicit and affirmatively transmitted message having predetermined content and/or format transmitted according to the schedule of the failed message) when an uplink data transmission in a multi-hop communication link fails or is otherwise currently unavailable. The unavailable packet signaling may be provided in association with a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) and control channel scheduled retransmission technique, such as for supporting Internet of things (IoT), such as industrial Internet of things (IIoT), traffic. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Techniques for obtaining wideband channel state information (CSI) for a plurality of subbands is described. A two-stage procedure may be used to obtain the wideband CSI. At a first stage, a base station may broadcast a wideband channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) that includes a plurality of subbands. The wideband CSI-RS may be received by any user equipment (UE) within range of the base station. The UE may select one or more subbands in the wideband CSI-RS for communication with the base station. To indicate which subbands were selected, at a second stage, the UE may transmit a narrowband sounding reference signal (SRS) in each of the selected subbands. The base station may schedule traffic for the wireless communications system based on the narrowband SRSs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit, and a UE may receive, via a configuration message, a group identifier indicating a group of UEs with which the UE is associated, the group of UEs being one of multiple groups of UEs which are each allocated resources. The base station may transmit the group downlink control information message to the group of UEs, and the UE may receive the group downlink control information message. The UE may determine that the group downlink control information message pertains to the UE by associating the group identifier with the group downlink control information message. The base station and the UE may communicate in accordance with the group downlink control information message based at least in part on the UE being associated with the group to which the group downlink control information message pertains.
