    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first UE may receive signaling indicating one or more resource reservation rules associated with transmitting a sidelink message that includes reservation information associated with one or more sidelink resources. The first UE may determine, based on the one or more resource reservation rules, to include the sidelink message in a physical layer control signal, or a medium access control layer control signal, or both.     Abstract: In an aspect, the disclosure provides a method of wireless communication for a first user equipment (UE). The method may include decoding, at a first user equipment (UE), sidelink control information (SCI) transmitted by a plurality of second UEs reserving a set of resources for sidelink transmission to the first UE. The method may also include detecting, at the first UE, a potential resource collision between the plurality of second UEs at the set of resources based on decoding of the SCI. The method may further include generating a pre-collision message that identifies the set of resources that are susceptible to the resource collision. The method may further include transmitting the pre-collision message from the first UE to the plurality of second UEs.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for a wireless communication device to generate a superposition transmission of a sidelink signal to be transmitted to at least one receiving wireless communication device and an uplink signal to be transmitted to a base station. The wireless communication device may transmit the superposition transmission on resources allocated by the base station on a common carrier utilized for both sidelink and uplink transmissions. The superposition transmission includes a base layer corresponding to the uplink signal and an enhanced layer corresponding to the sidelink signal. The wireless communication device may further generate and transmit interference assistance information to the receiving wireless communication device for use by the receiving wireless communication device in canceling the base layer from the superposition transmission.

    Abstract: In some implementations, a target user equipment (UE) may receive, from an initiator UE via an SL interface, a discovery request corresponding to an SL positioning session, wherein the target UE comprises a plurality of transmission/reception points (TRPs). The target UE may determine, from the discovery request, the initiator UE is incapable of associating each TRP of the plurality of TRPs with the target UE. Responsive to determining the initiator UE is incapable of associating each TRP of the plurality of TRPs with the target UE, the target UE may participate in the SL positioning session with the target UE by either: (i) using only one TRP of the plurality of TRPs during the SL positioning session, or (ii) using each TRP of the plurality of TRPs such that each TRP operates as a distinct UE.
