Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide enhancements to enable per transmission reception point (per-TRP or per beam group)-based beam failure recovery, and more particularly, techniques for TRP-specific beam failure recovery request (BFRQ). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes communicating using beams associated with at least two beam groups, each associate with one of the TRPs, detecting a beam failure in a first one of the beam groups, and transmitting an indication of a BFRQ specific to a beam group in which the beam failure was detected.

Abstract: Techniques to enable and provide beam failure recovery (BFR) operation for discontinuous reception (DRX) modes with wakeup signal (WUS) monitoring are described. DRX mode operation may be altered based on a BFR procedure implemented by a user equipment (UE). DRX mode operation may be altered for allowing a UE to start a DRX active time after transmitting a BFR request signal of a BFR procedure. Additionally or alternatively, DRX mode operation may be altered for allowing a UE to start an ON duration timer for a next DRX cycle after transmitting a BFR request signal of a BFR procedure. In another example, DRX mode operation may be altered for allowing a UE to monitor a BFR search space set regardless of DRX status, after transmitting a BFR request signal for a BFR procedure. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication that the UE supports a plurality of cyclic prefix configurations. The UE may receive, from a network entity, an indication of a first cyclic prefix configuration of the plurality of cyclic prefix configurations, the first cyclic prefix configuration indicating a first symbol period structure that includes a guard interval that occurs in a symbol period prior to a portion of the symbol period copied as a cyclic prefix based at least in part on a delay spread exceeding a length of the cyclic prefix. The UE may communicate one or more messages with the network entity in accordance with the first cyclic prefix configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may receive an uplink transmission from a user equipment (UE) over a wireless channel and measure a post-digital post-distortion (post-DPOD) signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the uplink transmission. The base station may generate a power output back-off indication for the UE according to the post-DPOD SNR and a change in a post-DPOD noise level of the transmission between a non-linear distortion noise component and a thermal noise component. The base station may transmit the power output back-off indication and a downlink transmission to the UE. In response, the base station may receive an uplink transmission from the UE over the wireless channel. The uplink transmission may be based on the power output back-off indication, a signal quality metric of the downlink transmission, or both.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a UE identifies a pool of resources where transmission of sidelink synchronization signals is permitted, the pool of resources including at least UE-specific resources, and transmits a sidelink synchronization signal to one or more peer sidelink UEs based on a subset of the pool of resources.
