Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may communicate with one or more other UEs using multiple transmissions in a device-to-device (D2D) communications deployment. A number of UEs may be configured with D2D resources, and a transmitting UE may identify available D2D resources from the configured resources. The transmitting UE may identify a resource for a first transmission of a D2D transmission from the available D2D resources, and may identify a second resource for a second transmission of the D2D transmission. The second transmission may be a blind HARQ transmission that may be transmitted to enhance the likelihood that one or more receiving UEs successfully receive the transmission. In some examples, the second resource may be identified based on other available resources within an predetermined time window around the first transmission.

A first user equipment (UE) may be configured to trigger a sidelink message to one or more UE of set of multiple other UEs. The first UE may then generate the sidelink message based at least in part on the triggering. In some cases, the sidelink message may include time and frequency resource information associated with sidelink control information received and processed by the first UE. The first UE may multiplex the sidelink message with a sidelink data message. The first UE may then transmit the sidelink message multiplexed with the sidelink data message to the one or more UE of the set of multiple other UEs.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from another UE, a coordination message that includes resource information (e.g., a preference status) for communication resources. The UE receiving the coordination message may determine a status of one or more resources based on the resource information, an intended recipient of the coordination message (e.g., based on a destination identifier of the coordination message), or a communication connection associated with the one or more resources. The status may indicate that a respective resource of the one or more resources is available, reserved, preferred, or non-preferred, or some combination thereof. In some examples, the one or more resources may be for a sidelink connection or a unicast connection. The receiving UE may utilize the determined status to select one or more resources for a sidelink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., vehicle-to-everything (V2X) systems), a source user equipment (UE) may multicast a data packet to surrounding UEs. In some cases, a receiving UE may fail to receive the transmission due to blocking, shadowing, or interference. The receiving UE may multicast a message requesting retransmission of the packet. Any surrounding UEs that successfully received the data packet from the source UE and the relay request message from the receiving UE may determine whether to relay the packet. Determining whether to relay the packet may be based on a reference signal received power (RSRP) threshold, available resources, a distance to the blocked UE, or some combination thereof. In some examples, the receiving UE may successfully receive the relayed packet from the relay UE even if a path between the receiving UE and the original source UE is blocked.

An example method of wireless communication at a receiving user equipment (UE) includes determining whether a data signal associated with a groupcast transmission from a transmitting UE is decodable at the receiving UE and obtaining measurements of the data signal when the data signal is decodable at the receiving UE. The example method also includes determining whether the measurements exceed a threshold and transmitting a first type of feedback to the transmitting UE when the measurements do not exceed the threshold. An example method of wireless communication at a transmitting UE includes receiving, from a receiving UE over a sidelink channel, feedback comprising the first type of feedback when the first UE is determined to monitor for the first type of feedback and a second type of feedback from a plurality of UEs.

Abstract: An apparatus may comprise a component for communicating using a first RAT and another component for communicating using a second RAT. Overlapping communication using the two RATs may cause problems for proper reception at the apparatus. The apparatus may detect that transmission or reception of a first packet using a first RAT will overlap in time with reception of a second packet using a second RAT.
