Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may provide a session request associated with establishing a proximity services (ProSe) session. The session request may include ProSe session specific information including information that indicates a ProSe service type associated with the ProSe session. The user equipment may receive a session establishment response after providing the session request. The session establishment response may include at least one of a ProSe session authorization indication associated with the UE, or ProSe policy information for the ProSe service type associated with the ProSe session. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for maintaining simultaneous connection with a network in dual-active protocol stack (DAPS) handover (HO), such as, for example, in packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) duplication applications that require a user equipment (UE) to maintain up to four simultaneous connections with the network, such as in an multi-radio access transfer (RAT) dual connectivity (MR-DC) to MR-DC HO. In some embodiments, the UE is configured during various phases of a DAPS HO. In some other embodiments, the UE may be configured for multi-TRP operations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One example method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) includes detecting a radio link failure (RLF) condition for a connection between the UE and a network over a first cell group and determining, in response to detecting the RLF condition, whether an air interface resource allocation is available for a signaling radio bearer (SRB) between the UE and the network over another cell group. The method also includes selecting, based at least in part on the determination, one of a plurality of RLF procedures. In some examples, the UE may select a first RLF procedure that fully releases radio resources when no SRB is available and a different, second RLF procedure that partially when an SRB is available between the UE and the network over a second cell group.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for signaling procedures that use a hierarchical mobility, which may be applied when a user equipment (UE) is operating in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state or the RRC idle state. A wireless communication system may be configured with a plurality of areas in which one or more networks are established for communicating certain types of signals. Examples of the areas associated with networks may include a tracking area (TA), a radio access network area code (RAN-AC), a radio access network based notification area (RNA). A synchronization signal or a paging signal may be transmitted using a first set of communication resources in a first area, while the synchronization signal or the paging signal may be transmitted using a second set of communication resources in a second area different than the first set of communication resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support multi-connectivity for a user equipment (UE) with multiple distributed units (DUs) under one central unit (CU), the DUs and the CU belonging to a base station. The UE may establish radio resource control (RRC) connections with multiple cell groups corresponding to multiple DUs under the CU. The UE may transmit measurement reports that provide measurement information for cells in proximity to the UE. The UE may maintain a set of active cell groups and a set of inactive cell groups. In some cases, one or more cell groups may be identified as controlling cell groups used to transmit control information. In some examples, the UE may replicate an uplink packets and transmit the uplink packet and replicates on multiple cell groups. In some cases, the UE may aggregate an uplink transmission among multiple cell groups.

The method generally includes receiving one or more configurations for sidelink discontinuous reception (SL DRX); determining an SL DRX pattern for a communication on the sidelink, based on the one or more configurations for DRX, the communication comprising a service for broadcast communication, a group of UEs for groupcast communication, or a UE pair for unicast communication; and communicating with one or more other UEs on the sidelink using the determined SL DRX pattern.

The first device may receive, over the first communication link, a transmission corresponding to data stored at the second device. The first device may receive, over the second communication link, an indication of one or more resources for a relay transmission corresponding to the data stored at the second device. The first device may transmit, over the second communication link, the relay transmission over the one or more resources based on receiving the sidelink transmission.

A base station may configure resources on a first communication link for scheduling requests and may transmit an indication of the configured resources over a second communication link to a first device. The first device may relay the indication of the configured resources to a second device via the first communication link. The second device may identify that resources on the first communication link are unavailable for a transmission and may transmit a scheduling request. The first device may receive the scheduling request. The first device may transmit, over the first communication link and based on the scheduling request, an indication of one or more shared channel resources configured by the base station for the transmission. The first device may receive, over the first communication link, the transmission over the one or more shared channel resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support relayed sidelink communications. A first device and a base station may communicate via a communication link including a sidelink link between the first device and a second device and a relay link between the second device and the base station. The base station may determine restrictions for the communication link and transmit an indication of the restrictions over the relay link. The restrictions may differentiate data originating from the first device and the second device, restrict the first device to one or more resources, or associate logical channels at the first device with one or more transport block sizes and communication links. The second device may relay the indication of the restrictions to the first device. The first device, the second device, and the base station may communicate over the communication link according to the restrictions.
