Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) precoded reference signal design for multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) transmissions. A user equipment (UE) may identify multiple sets of symbols associated with different reference signal waveforms, where each reference signal waveform may be associated with a low PAPR. In some cases, different single-carrier reference signal waveforms may be mapped to subsets of frequency resources through frequency division multiplexing (FDM) for a transmission on a single antenna. However, the addition of single-carrier waveforms through FDM for a transmission via an antenna may result in an uplink transmission having a high PAPR (e.g., as compared to single-carrier waveforms). The UE may reduce the PAPR of the uplink transmission by multiplexing the reference signal waveforms in the time domain (e.g., using time division multiplexing (TDM)).

The apparatus may be a UE that acquires information regarding an interfering non-serving cell and uses the information to improve decoding of serving cell signals. The method includes receiving, from a serving evolved Node B (eNB), information that includes one or more transmission characteristics of at least one non-serving cell and performing at least one of interference cancellation, demodulation, or provides an improved channel quality indicator (CQI) based on the received information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. In one method, a method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a synchronization signal. The synchronization signal may be common to a plurality of cells within a network. The method further includes acquiring a timing of the network based on the synchronization signal, and transmitting a pilot signal in response to acquiring the timing of the network. The pilot signal may identify the UE and be concurrently receivable by the plurality of cells within the network. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: One feature provides a method operational on a neighboring device for downlink transmission assistance for a target device. The neighboring device monitors a shared asynchronous first channel for broadcast transmissions from a serving access point. The neighboring device also determines if a received first transmission over the shared asynchronous first channel is intended for the target device. For instance, the received first transmission may be captured and decoded. After an expiration of a threshold period of time, the neighboring device relays the received first transmission to the target device over the first channel or a different second channel.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a resource spread multiple access scheme is enabled, wherein the bit and/or symbol level resource spreading happens in time and/or frequency domain through bits or symbol level repetition and spreading. Furthermore, the UE may process bits of codewords and modulated symbols using a set of spreading sequences and a set of scrambling sequences. The UE may transmit the modulated symbols with a discrete-Fourier-transform (DFT)-spread (DFT-s) waveform based at least in part on processing the modulated symbols using the set of spreading sequences and the set of scrambling sequences. Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications in a system with long term evolution (LTE) integrated with new radio (NR) are provided. A method for wireless communications includes determining a configuration of component carrier(s) (CCs) of a first radio access technology (RAT) and CC(s) of a second RAT. The method also includes identifying one of the CC(s) in the first RAT as an uplink anchor CC based on the configuration. The method further includes identifying a HARQ timing for at least one of the CC(s) of the second RAT based on at least one of a symbol duration, a transmit time interval (TTI) length or a subframe structure of the one of the CC(s) of the first RAT. The method further yet includes sending feedback to a second node in the identified uplink anchor CC for transmissions received in the CC(s) of the second RAT.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for power control for dual connectivity. A UE may identify a power control configuration that determines priorities for uplink transmissions over multiple component carriers and one or more base stations. The UE may identify a union of semi-static uplink or flexible transmissions between multiple component carriers employed by one cell group, such as a master cell group and a secondary cell group, and determine a configured power level for the cell group. The UE may then determine whether to transmit an uplink transmission on a cell of another cell group, based on the power control configuration and the configured power level.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that adapts a numerology including a subcarrier spacing and/or cyclic prefix for a user equipment (UE) traveling at a high speed. A base station may transmit via a plurality of remote radio heads (RRH) to a user equipment (UE) is moving along a high speed track. The base station may transmit, in a first time period, using a first numerology including a first subcarrier spacing and a first cyclic prefix ratio, a first transmission for the UE. The base station may transmit, in a subsequent time period, using a second numerology including a second subcarrier spacing and a second cyclic prefix ratio, a second transmission for the UE. At least one of the second subcarrier spacing is different than the first subcarrier spacing or the second cyclic prefix ratio is different than the first cyclic prefix ratio.
