Abstract:
In using an application's drawing feature, users typically use connecting lines between graphical shapes to depict a relationship between the shapes. Drawing connecting lines between two or more graphical shapes within an application can be a time consuming, manual task. An application that automatically generates connecting lines between shapes, based on spatial relationships among the shapes, can reduce the amount of time for drawing a diagram. Functionality can be implemented to generate connecting lines between 1:n shapes based on proximity among the shapes and/or contact between shapes. Automatically generating connecting lines among shapes based on spatial relationships among the shapes allows generating of the connecting lines based on manipulation of shapes, which typically have a larger surface area than a line. Manipulating a larger surface area can be easier than manipulating a line.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a distributed controlled passive optical network system and bandwidth control method thereof. The system comprises an optical line terminal (OLT), plural optical network units (ONUs) and a splitter with combiner. Each ONU has a first Tx/Rx for respectively transmitting and receiving data packets on an upstream data channel and a downstream data channel, and a second Tx/Rx for transmitting and receiving control signals/commands on a control channel. Upstream data of each ONU is carried by the upstream data channel and sent to the OLT through the splitter with combiner. Downstream data of the OLT is carried by the downstream data channel and sent to corresponding ONUs through the splitter with combiner. With the control signals/commands carried by the control channel, the required information of network status among the ONUs is provided
Abstract:
A method and system for detecting an insufficient coverage location in a mobile network is provided to detect the insufficient coverage location in a systematic and efficient way. The method generates a corresponding cell list for a registered address of a subscriber of the mobile network, where the cell list comprises at least one cell that potentially covers the registered address. Next, the call detail record (CDR) entries associated with the cell list are extracted. Then, it is determined whether the registered address is an insufficient coverage location of the mobile network according to the error codes included in the extracted CDR entries.

A device for detecting wobbles on an optical disc is provided, where the device is utilized for generating a wobble signal according to a plurality of detection signals. The device includes an analog signal processing circuit, a pair of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), and a digital signal processing circuit. The analog signal processing circuit is arranged to perform analog signal processing on the detection signals to generate a plurality of output signals. In addition, the pair of ADCs are arranged to digitalize the output signals to generate a plurality of digital values. Additionally, the digital signal processing circuit is arranged to perform digital signal processing on the digital values and generate an arithmetic output, where the arithmetic output is utilized for generating the wobble signal or utilized as the wobble signal. An associated method for detecting wobbles on an optical disc is further provided.

A series of novel phosphorus-containing compounds having the following formula are disclosed: wherein R1-R12, A, B, D, X, and Y are as defined in the specification. A process for the preparation of the compound of formula (1), a curing agent, and a flame resistant epoxy resin and a preparation process thereof are also provided.
Abstract:
A photoresist layer is disclosed. Utilizing light diffraction properties, a transparent layer is disposed between a light-shielding layer and a photoresist layer during an exposure step, such that the patterned photoresist layer has non-vertical sidewalls. The method of the invention can be applied during front side exposure or back side exposure, and is also practical for positive type photoresists or negative photoresists.
Abstract:
An active-hydrogen-containing (carboxyl or hydroxyl) phosphorus compound is provided. An epoxy resin semi-thermoset formed by bonding the phosphorus compound to an epoxy group is also provided. A flame-retardant epoxy resin thermoset is formed after reacting the epoxy resin semi-thermoset with a curing agent. The epoxy resin thermoset possesses excellent flame retardancy, heat stability, and high glass transition temperature (Tg), does not produce toxic and corrosive fumes during combustion, and thus is an environmentally friendly flame-retardant material.
Abstract:
An fMRI scan is performed using a multi-element head coil and multi-channel receiver to acquire time course image data. One imaging gradient is eliminated from the pulse sequence used to acquire the time course image data enabling images to be acquired at a very high frame rate. The multi-channel NMR data is combined and reconstructed into a series of image frames using a spatial filter calculated using a linear constrained minimum variance (LCMV) beamforming method.
