Abstract: Techniques herein facilitate a device address rotation management protocol that may be implemented for a wireless local area network (WLAN), which can be used to influence when wireless client devices or stations may rotate their Media Access Control (MAC) addresses, how to perform such rotations, and/or the like. In one example, a method may include providing, by an access point (AP), a first communication indicating that the AP supports a MAC address rotation management protocol; obtaining, by the AP, a second communication from a wireless station (STA) indicating that the STA intends to perform a MAC address rotation; and transmitting, by the AP, a third communication to influence the MAC address rotation of the STA, the third communication comprising a rotation status indicator and timing information.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for generating a unique ID for a sensor in a network. Once the sensor is installed on a component of the network, the sensor can send attributes of the sensor to a control server of the network. The attributes of the sensor can include at least one unique identifier of the sensor or the host component of the sensor. The control server can determine a hash value using a one-way hash function and a secret key, send the hash value to the sensor, and designate the hash value as a sensor ID of the sensor. In response to receiving the sensor ID, the sensor can incorporate the sensor ID in subsequent communication messages. Other components of the network can verify the validity of the sensor using a hash of the at least one unique identifier of the sensor and the secret key.

Abstract: This disclosure generally relate to a method and system for mapping application dependency information. The present technology relates techniques that enable user-adjustable application dependency mapping of a network system. By collecting internal network data using various sensors in conjunction with external user inputs, the present technology can provide optimized application dependency mapping using user inputs.

Abstract: Audio samples are obtained from a plurality of microphones in a conference room that includes a plurality of participants of an online communication session. A cross correlation is calculated between audio samples for each microphone pair of the plurality of microphones. For each participant, a distance between the participant and each microphone is estimated and, for each microphone pair, an expected delay between when microphones in a microphone pair receive audio from a participant is calculated based on the distance. For each participant, a score is computed based on the cross correlation for each microphone pair and the expected delay for each microphone pair and the participant that is speaking is identified based on the score computed for each participant.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an illustrative method herein may comprise: obtaining, by a device, one or more independent telemetry streams, wherein each of the one or more independent telemetry streams is uniquely identifiable by a span identifier; translating, by the device, each of the one or more independent telemetry streams into a corresponding QUIC protocol stream; mapping, by the device, the span identifier of each of the one or more independent telemetry streams to a respective stream identifier that uniquely identifies a QUIC channel of a multiplexed QUIC protocol stream; and communicating, by the device, the multiplexed QUIC protocol stream containing each of the one or more independent telemetry streams on its corresponding QUIC channel to cause a retrieving device to determine the span identifier of each of the one or more independent telemetry streams based on their respective stream identifier.

Abstract: Techniques for leveraging efficient metadata communications to improve domain name system (DNS) security are described. The DNS service receives metadata associated with a client device on an encrypted channel. The DNS service applies a cryptographic hash function to the metadata to determine a first hash value and stores the first hash value in a metadata registry record with the corresponding client device metadata. The DNS service receives a DNS query containing a second hash value in an additional records section and determines that the second hash value corresponds to the first hash value. Based at least in part on the second hash value corresponding to the first hash value and the metadata associated with the client device, the DNS service resolves the DNS query and transmits a DNS response including the second hash value.
