    摘要: A clutch cover assembly 3 is formed to improve the workability of installation of the clutch cover assembly 3 in which a pressure plate 17 is not fixed to a clutch cover 16. The clutch cover assembly 3 is disposed such that clutch disks 42 and 43 are disposed between a flywheel 2 and the clutch cover assembly 3. The clutch cover assembly 3 selectively urges the clutch disks 42 and 43 against the flywheel 2 via the pressure plate 17. The clutch cover assembly 3 basically includes a clutch cover 16, a diaphragm spring assembly 18, and a snap ring 21. First and second diaphragm springs 29 and 30 are disposed adjacent to the clutch cover 16 on a side closer to the flywheel 2. The first and second diaphragm springs 29 and 30 include first and second disk-shaped elastic portions 31 and 32 and pluralities of first and second lever portions 33 and 34. The disk-shaped elastic portions 31 and 32 are supported by the clutch cover 16 at an outer peripheral portion. The lever portions 33 and 34 extend from the first and second elastic portions 31 and 32 in a radially inner direction. The snap ring 21 stops a movement of the first and second diaphragm springs 29 and 30 relative to the clutch cover 16.

The flexible plate 41 is arranged axially between the first and second flywheels 4 and 5 for supporting the second flywheel 5 with respect to the first flywheel 4. The flexible plate 41 is flexible in the bending direction. The bearing 17 is arranged between the flexible plate 41 and one of the first and second flywheels 4 and 5.

    摘要: A lock-up damper or clutch 7 of a torque converter 1 is provided with a plurality of coil spring assembly 32 for elastically coupling the piston 22 of the torque converter 1 to a turbine 4 of the torque converter 1. The coil spring assembly 32 basically includes a large coil spring 40 and two spring seats 42. The coil spring assembly 32 is designed to prevent a reduction of the performance of the coil spring 40 and to absorb a torsion vibration in the lock-up damper 7 for the torque converter 1. Each of the spring seats 42 is disposed one of the sides of the large coil spring 40. Each of the spring seats 42 has a seat part 43, a first protrusion 44 and a second protrusion 45. The seat part 43 contacts the end of the large coil spring 40. The first protrusion 44 extending from the seat part 43 and is pressed-fitted into an end turn of the large coil spring 40.

A damper 8 is disposed between the output rotary member 4 and the intermediate member 3, and includes second springs 10 that are not compressed in the first stage of relative rotary displacement but are compressed in a second stage of relative rotary displacement. The torsion angle corresponding to the second stage is larger than a torsion angle corresponding to the first stage. The plates 12 and 13 are arranged on the axial side of the intermediate member 3. The third springs 5 circumferentially and elastically couple the intermediate member 3 to the plates 12 and 13. The above configuration suppresses a jumping phenomenon between the first and second stages.

    摘要: A dynamic damper 70 is employed in a coupling mechanism 91 for coupling a crankshaft 90 of an engine and an input shaft 9 of a transmission. The dynamic damper 70 is designed to reduce a force applied in the rotating direction to components of a sub-clutch. Thus, the dynamic damper 70 reduces the cost and the size of the sub-clutch of the dynamic damper. The dynamic damper 70 is adapted to be coupled to the input shaft 9 to rotate therewith. The dynamic damper 70 basically includes a mass member 71, a sub-clutch 73 and an annular rubber member 72. The mass member 71 can rotate in accordance with rotation of the input shaft 9. The sub-clutch 73 reduces a torque transmitted between the input shaft 9 and the mass member 71 when a main clutch 3 disengages the crankshaft 90 and the input shaft 9 from each other. The annular rubber member 72 elastically couples the input shaft 9 and the mass member 71 in the rotating direction when they are in the interlocked state.
