摘要: An aromatherapy diffuser includes a diffuser body and a diffusion device. The diffuser body has an oil storage cavity for storing a predetermined amount of essential oil. The diffusion device is supported in the diffuser body, and includes an ultrasonic vibrator arranged to generate ultrasonic vibrations, in such a manner that when the diffusion body is partially immersed in the water stored in the container, the essential oil is released to the water from the oil storage cavity while the ultrasonic vibrator is arranged to cause ultrasonic vibrations in the water so as to agitate the water molecules for releasing negatively charged mist and essential oil into ambient air.

摘要: A nebulizer assembly for a respiratory device is provided having a housing defining a chamber. The housing also has a nebulizer port configured to receive a nebulizer to discharge atomized medication into the chamber. An outlet of a handle is coupled to the inlet of the housing. A hose is coupled to an inlet of the handle. A patient interface is coupled to the outlet of the housing. Air flows from the hose to the patient interface via the handle and the housing. The air mixes with the atomized medication within the chamber.

摘要: An ejector mechanism, droplet delivery device and related methods or delivering small droplets to the respiratory system of a users disclosed. The ejector mechanism comprises a piezoelectric actuator and an aperture plate, the aperture plate having and a plurality of openings formed through its thickness, wherein at least the fluid entrance side of one or more of said openings is configured to provide a surface contact angle of less than 90 degrees and the piezoelectric actuator is operable to oscillate the aperture plate at a frequency to thereby generate an ejected stream of droplets during use. The droplet delivery device is automatically breath actuated by a user when the differential pressure sensor senses a predetermined pressure change. The ejector mechanism is then actuated to generate a plume of droplets having an average ejected particle diameter within the respirable size range having a diameter of less than about 4 um so as to target the respiratory system of the user.

摘要: A device is disclosed for the preparation of nebulised droplets, for inhalation. The device has: a surface acoustic wave (SAW) transmission surface; a SAW transducer adapted to generate and propagate SAWs along the SAW transmission surface; and an array of cavities opening at the SAW transmission surface for containing a liquid. In operation, SAWs propagating along the SAW transmission surface interact with the liquid in the cavities to produce nebulised droplets of the liquid. Operation of the device results in a nebulised plume of droplets of average diameter in the range 1-5 μm.

摘要: A system for respiratory therapy may include a nebulizer, an adaptor, and a nasal cannula. The nebulizer is operable to generate an aerosolized medicament and pass the aerosolized medicament through a nebulizer outlet port. The adaptor has a nebulizer coupling port configured to be coupled to the nebulizer outlet port. The nasal cannula is configured to provide a flow of breathing gas from a breathing gas source to the patient. The nasal cannula includes at least one nasal prong and an attachment device positioned adjacent the at least one nasal prong. The attachment device is configured to secure the adaptor outlet port adjacent an outlet of the nasal prong. A method includes securing a nasal cannula to the patient, attaching an adaptor to the nasal cannula, generating an aerosolized medicament, transferring the aerosolized medicament into the adaptor, and providing a flow of breathing gas to the patient.
