    Abstract: A method, base station (BS), user equipment (UE), apparatus, and computer program product for wireless communication are provided. A BS and a UE may communicate using a narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) communication system. However, a frequency, time, and/or power associated with transmission of a SIB1-NB on a non-anchor carrier may not be configured for NB-IoT. In some aspects, the BS may determine parameters, such as a time domain location parameter, a frequency domain location parameter, a quantity of repetitions, a power boosting parameter, and/or the like for a transmission in NB-IoT. In some aspects, a UE may determine to transmit a connection request message on a different carrier than a random access channel message.

    Abstract: A low complexity user equipment (UE) may be in communication with another UE (e.g., with a premium UE or more capable UE) via a device-to-device communication link (e.g., via sidelink), and the low complexity UE may leverage the device-to-device link to improve (e.g., simplify, expedite, etc.) random access procedures performed by the low complexity UE. For example, a low complexity UE may request contention free random access (CFRA) resources via the device-to-device link with another UE. Another device (e.g., another UE in device-to-device communication with the low complexity UE) may receive the request from the low complexity UE and forward the request to the network (e.g., to a base station). The network may then configure CFRA resources for the low complexity UE. Upon receiving the CFRA configuration, the low complexity UE may perform a random access procedure (e.g., a CFRA procedure) with the network (e.g., with the base station) accordingly.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently reporting channel state information (CSI) with limited overhead. In one aspect, if a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit data and CSI to a base station periodically, the UE may transmit the CSI when the UE has data to transmit to the base station. In particular, the UE may transmit data and a CSI report during a transmission opportunity if the UE has data to transmit in the transmission opportunity. Otherwise, the UE may suppress transmission of the CSI report. In another aspect, a UE may be configured to transmit CSI to abase station when downlink channel conditions change. In particular, the UE may request to report CSI to the base station when channel conditions change, and the base station may trigger the UE to report the CSI after receiving the request.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may send, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a transmission beam adjustment message indicating a change from a first time interval to a second time interval in which a transmission beam is utilized to transmit a synchronization signal and physical broadcasting channel block (SSB). The base station may send the transmission beam adjustment message to all connected UEs, individual UEs affected by the adjustment, or to one or more UE groups. The UE may receive the transmission beam adjustment message and determine a new time interval of the transmission beam pattern that the base station is using the transmission beam to transmit the SSB. The UE may monitor the new time interval for the SSB using a receive beam that corresponds to the transmission beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station over a first bandwidth part (BWP) of a carrier. The UE may receive a beam failure recovery (BFR) configuration signal configuring a set of periodic channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) in the first BWP and a set of synchronization signals in a second BWP. The UE may measure the set of periodic CSI-RSs in the first BWP. The UE may set a beam for communicating with the base station over the first BWP based at least in part on the measuring. The UE may be a reduced bandwidth capability and support communicating with the base station using only one BWP.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, a node (e.g., a UE, BS or relay node) transmits a paging message including at least one reference value associated with an event. At least one UE responds to the paging message (e.g., based on the presence of the at least one reference value in the paging message) with a response including UE-identifying information and the at least one reference value associated with the event. In an example where the node is a relay node, the relay node may coordinate with a BS so as to obtain an allocation of paging resources for transmission of the paging message. In a further embodiment, a UE may transmit, to a BS, at least one Message-A comprised by a PUSCH of a 2-Step RACH procedure, wherein the Message-A includes the at least one reference value associated with the event.

In some aspects, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may transmit, to a parent node of the IAB node, full-duplex (FD) information based at least in part on a transmit power value for an FD mode. The IAB node may receive an FD resource allocation for the IAB node, wherein the FD resource allocation identifies a resource to be used for a first communication link with the parent node and a second communication link in the FD mode, and wherein the FD resource allocation is based at least in part on the FD information. The IAB node may communicate on the first communication link and the second communication link in accordance with the FD resource allocation. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for beam management in multi-TRP scenarios are disclosed. An exemplary method generally includes receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration from at least one base station (BS) for one or more transmission hypotheses, wherein the CSI-RS resource configuration includes CSI-RS resources corresponding to at least a first downlink (DL) demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-port-group and a second DL DMRS-port-group, performing one or more CSI-RS measurements for the one or more transmission hypotheses based, at least in part on the CSI-RS resource configuration, and determining, for each of the one or more transmission hypotheses, a preferred reception beam for communicating with the at least one BS based, at least in part, on the one or more CSI-RS measurements.
