Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for radio frequency (RF) sensing in wireless communication systems. In some implementations, a transmitter device transmits sounding sequences configured for channel estimation over a wireless channel to a receiver device. The transmitter device also transmits or receives non-sounding frames associated with a channel report of the receiver device. The transmitter device transmits a frame soliciting the channel report from the receiver device. The transmitter device receives the channel report, which may include channel state information (CSI) of the wireless channel responsive to at least the sounding sequences. Some types of channel reports may take longer to generate than other types of channel reports. Transmitting or receiving the non-sounding frames during the time period may prevent other devices from accessing the wireless channel when the receiver device needs additional time to generate a certain type of channel report.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus obtain a signal from a remote wireless node. The apparatus may switch between a first mode and a second mode in response to the signal. The apparatus may sense the shared transmission medium and sense if an absence of traffic is detected. The apparatus may delay data transmission for a fixed time interval from detecting the absence of traffic. The apparatus may initiate the data transmission at the end of the fixed time interval if operating in the first mode or initiate the data transmission at the end of a random time interval following the fixed time interval if operation in the second mode.

Abstract: Monostatic radar with progressive length transmission may be used with half-duplex systems or with full-duplex systems to reduce self-interference. The system transmits a first signal for a first duration and receives a first reflection of the first signal from a first object during a second duration. The system transmits a second signal for a third duration longer than the first duration and receives a second reflection of the second signal from a second object during a fourth duration. The system calculates a position of the first object and the second object based on the first reflection and the second reflection. The first signal, first duration, and second duration are configured to detect reflections from objects within a first distance of the system. The second signal, third duration, and fourth duration are configured to detect reflections from objects between the first distance and a second distance from the system.

In an aspect, the non-participating target object does not participate in determining its own location.

Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication includes data defragmentation logic configured to receive, during a first transmit opportunity, a first data packet from a first device and a second data packet from a second device. The first data packet includes a first data fragment, and the second data packet includes a second data fragment. The apparatus also includes block acknowledgement generation logic configured to generate a block acknowledgement frame including a first block acknowledgement bitmap and a second block acknowledgement bitmap. The first block acknowledgement bitmap indicates at least the first data fragment received from the first device, and the second block acknowledgement bitmap indicates at least the second data fragment received from the second device. The apparatus further includes a wireless interface configured to transmit the block acknowledgement frame to the first device and to the second device.
