Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink (UL) grant (e.g., dynamic UL grant, UL configured grant (CG)) from a network, but may decide to skip the UL grant altogether or not transmit any user plane data on the UL grant. In such instances, the UE may maintain or expedite expiration associated with one or more timers (e.g., discontinuous reception (DRX) and bandwidth part (BWP) inactivity timers, secondary cell (SCell) deactivation timer, etc.). The UE may also maintain or expedite expiration associated with one or more timers if it receives downlink (DL) transmission (e.g., DL semi-persistent scheduling (SPS)) from the network that includes no user plane data.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for coordinated power savings configurations for access link and sidelink(s). A wireless node may receive information from a user equipment (UE) over a sidelink. In some aspects, the wireless node forwards the information to a base station (BS) over an access link and receives, from the BS, a first power savings configuration for the access link and a second power savings configuration for the sidelink. In some aspects, the wireless node receives, from a BS, a first power savings configuration for an access link and determines a second power savings configuration for the sidelink based on the information and the first power savings configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first message indicating a first set of parameters associated with time domain resource allocation (TDRA) information for a first quantity of shared channels. The UE may receive a second message (e.g., downlink control information (DCI)) scheduling a set of shared channels, a second quantity of the set of shared channels exceeding the first quantity. The set of shared channels may include a first subset of shared channels corresponding to the first quantity, and a second subset of shared channels including additional shared channels. In addition, the UE may determine a second set of parameters for the second subset based on the first set of parameters, where the UE and a network entity may communicate the first subset using the first set of parameters and the second subset using the second set of parameters.

Abstract: A method of wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting a request for action for at least one control resource set (CORESET) and associated search space. The action may include configuring, activating, and/or deactivating the at least one CORESET and associated search space. The CORESET may be a dynamic CORESET with a predefined number of search space occasions or a semi-static CORESET. The method also includes communicating in accordance with the request. The request is transmitted using at least one of an uplink radio resource control (RRC) message, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), a sounding reference signal (SRS), a random access channel (RACH), or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The UE may switch, in connection with the request, to a bandwidth part (BWP) configured for the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may autonomously initiate a handover procedure and select a target base station for the handover procedure. The UE may measure a signal from the source base station or the target base station, or both, and the UE may determine whether specific criteria at both base stations are within a pre-configured range. If the criteria at both base stations are within the pre-configured range, the UE may identify the target base station as a potential candidate for a handover. Accordingly, when the UE determines that radio conditions with the source base station are deteriorating (or fall below a threshold), the UE may initiate a handover to the target base station autonomously and without specific direction from the source base station.

Abstract: In the examples described herein, a user equipment (UE) may identify multiple carriers configured for communications with a base station, and the UE may group the carriers into one or more preferred groups for synchronized scheduling at the base station. The preferred groups of carriers for synchronized scheduling may represent a recommendation that carriers within a preferred group are to be scheduled for communications with the base station on at least partially overlapping resources to maximize power savings at the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of the preferred groups of carriers to the base station, and the base station may identify an actual group of carriers for synchronized scheduling based on the indication received from the UE. The base station may then schedule communications with the UE based on the actual group of carriers.

Abstract: Wireless communication techniques that include multi-beam techniques for small data transfer (SDT) over preconfigured uplink resources (PURs) are discussed. A UE may receive an indication of at least one PUR allocated for uplink communication when the UE does not have a RRC connection with a base station. The at least one PUR may include one or more distinct PUR occasions. The UE may also receive an indication of one or more distinct SSBs associated with the one or more distinct PUR occasions. Each PUR occasion of the one or more distinct PUR occasions may be associated with only one SSB of the one or more distinct SSBs. The UE may also transmit information to the base station during a PUR occasion associated with an SSB that is associated with a RSRP that is greater than a threshold. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a payload for inclusion in an uplink transmission. The UE may organize the payload into a code block group (CBG) that includes one or more code blocks (CB). The UE may map each CB of the CBG to a corresponding uplink shared channel resource unit (e.g., a physical uplink shared channel resource unit) of an uplink transmission occasion of the first UE. The uplink transmission occasion may also be shared with one or more additional UEs such that the CBG of the first UE is multiplexed with additional CBGs from the additional UEs. The UE may transmit, to a base station, the uplink transmission including each uplink shared channel resource unit on which the CBG is organized.
