Abstract: A method for distributing packets of a data traffic over aggregated radio links connecting a node of a packet-switched wireless communication network to a further node of the packet-switched wireless communication network includes, at an indoor unit of the node, configuring at least one set of distribution rules indicating, for each of a first radio link and a second radio link of the aggregated radio links, an association between the radio link and a subset of values of a priority parameter carried within the packets. The method also includes, upon reception of a packet of the data traffic, distributing the packet over the first radio link or the second radio link on the basis of the priority parameter value carried within the packet and the associations.

Abstract: A meter apparatus is provided for determining parameters of an AC electric signal in first and second wires, the AC signal including an AC electric current and an AC electric voltage, the apparatus including a measurement section to provide first and second measure signals each one indicative of the AC voltage based on a first capacitive coupling with the first wire and on a second capacitive coupling with the second wire, the first and second measure signals depending on capacitance values of the first and second capacitive couplings, and a control unit to determine said capacitance values of the first and second capacitive couplings according to the first and second measure signals, and determining the amplitude of the AC voltage according to the first or second measure signal, and to the capacitance values of the first and second capacitive couplings.

Abstract: It is disclosed a method and system for providing a service to a user. The system comprises a module (VAHI) associated with the user and configured to act on her/his behalf and a plurality of modules (VAE) associated with and representing respective physical resources. The system comprises a runtime distributed execution environment for running VAHI and VAEs, such environment being provided with a distributed operating system supporting access by VAHI and VAEs to the physical resources. The VAHI is capable of having an interaction with the VAEs and, as a result of such interaction, providing the user with a proposal for the provision of a service. Upon reception of an approval from the user, the VAHI is capable of instructing at least one of the VAEs to request the associated physical resource to perform an action providing at least part of the service according to the proposal.

Abstract: In a method for processing messages exchanged on a social network, a data processing apparatus gathers from the social network a reference set of messages pertaining to a user-selected reference context. The data processing apparatus then applies a multidimensional aggregation to the reference set of messages, whereby the messages of the reference set are grouped in an multidimensional array of groups having at least two dimensions. In each dimension, the array comprises a number of groups that correspond to a number of values of a certain message feature. Each group in a dimension corresponding to a certain message feature aggregates all the messages of the reference set whose message feature has a same value. Then, a user interface is displayed, which shows the reference set of messages as aggregated in at least two dimensions of the array.

Abstract: A method and system for managing a mobile device entering a wireless coverage area of a home gateway connected to a WAN through a mobile communication network is provided. As the mobile device connects to the home gateway via its wireless interface, the home gateway requests an onloading token for the mobile device from a management server cooperating with the mobile communication network. The management server releases the onloading token and sends it to the home gateway, which forwards it to the mobile device. The mobile device receives the onloading token from the home gateway, and in reply thereto, disconnects from the home gateway and starts exchanging mobile data traffic with the WAN through the mobile communication network via its mobile interface.

Abstract: In method of protecting signaling messages in a hop-by-hop network communication link between a source node and a destination node, a source node public digital signature verification key and a respective source node private digital signature key associated with said public digital signature verification key are provided to the source node. The source node public digital signature verification key associated with the source node private digital signature key is also provided to the destination node. The source node builds a message including a sequence of Information Elements, and calculates, for each Information Element, an Information Element hash value. The source node also calculates a sequence hash value of a concatenation of the calculated Information Element hash values, and generates a source node digital signature by digitally signing the calculated sequence hash value. An intermediate node receives and forwards the signaling message to the destination node.

Abstract: The movement of a part of human body, e.g. a limb, is monitored. The movement includes N iterated rotations in a plane. A sensing device is fixed to the limb and provides data indicative of the limb movement. These data are processed to generate a rotation signal. Then, portions of the rotation signal corresponding to each movement iteration are identified. To this purpose, a plurality of null-velocity instants is identified, wherein the angular velocity of the sensing device is null. Then, each null-velocity instant is classified as a candidate start/end time or a candidate peak time. Then, a start time, end time and peak time for each iteration are determined as a combination of two candidate start/end times and a candidate peak time that fulfils certain conditions on the values of the rotation signal in correspondence of candidate start/end times and candidate peak times.
