Abstract:
An electric vehicle charging assembly includes a cord reel, a cord reel locking mechanism, and a master control unit for selectively unlocking the cord reel in response to an authorization signal. The electric vehicle charging assembly monitors the rotational position of the cord reel to prevent unauthorized use, and to record or relay information related to the improper use or malfunction of the electric vehicle charging assembly.
Abstract:
An exemplary container for accommodating a cable of an electronic device includes a base, a cover, a winder rotatably connected to the base, a transmission piece fasten to the winder, and a driving apparatus fixed on the cover and engaging with the transmission piece. The cover is placed on the base to cover the winder and defines a receiving space in cooperation with the base to receive the winder. The driving apparatus includes a trigger. The trigger generates a shift signal to the driving apparatus each time the trigger is pressed. The driving apparatus drives the winder to rotate via the transmission piece for winding up the cable on the winder according to the shift signal.
Abstract:
A power cord management system for managing flexible electrical power cords associated with hair or bathroom handheld appliances includes a power cord storage body. A pair of spaced apart cord wrapping elements are coupled to the power storage body about which the flexible electrical power cord may be wrapped for storage. At least one of the cord wrapping elements is movable between a storage and release position. The cord wrapping elements are configured to retain the wrapped power cord upon the power cord storage body when the at least one of the cord wrapping elements is in the storage position and wherein the wrapped power cord may be removed from the power cord storage body without unwrapping the wrapped power cord when the at least one of the cord wrapping elements is moved to the release position. A power cord coupling mechanism is coupled to the power cord storage body for facilitating releasable retaining of a free end or other portion of the flexible electrical power cord to the power cord storage body.
Abstract:
Cord reels are disclosed, which are adapted to keep electrical cords organized within a reasonable area. According to one example, a cord reel can include a fixed housing with electrical prongs protruding from one end, and a rotational housing coupled to the fixed housing. The rotational housing may be adapted to hold an electrical cord. At least one electrical receptacle adapted to receive an appliance plug, such as a standard plug or a residual current device (RCD) plug, may be mounted to the rotational housing such that the appliance plug and an immediately adjacent appliance cord will rotate at least substantially within a limited cylindrical plane. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.
Abstract:
A system for electric power production from wind includes a glider having an airfoil, an on-board steering unit, a flight controller for controlling the steering unit, and a connection unit for a tether. The system further includes a ground station including a reel for the tether, a rotating electrical machine connected to the reel, and a ground station controller for controlling the reel and the rotating electrical machine. A master controller operates the system in at least first and second operation modes. In the first operation mode electric power is produced with the rotating electrical machine from rotation of the reel caused by reeling out the tether using a lift force generated upon exposure of the airfoil of the airborne glider to wind. In the second operation mode, the reel is driven by the rotating electrical machine, thereby reeling in the tether onto the reel.
Abstract:
A cable housing device according to the present invention is provided with a rotating drum having a winding portion around which a cable is wound, and a guide groove having a groove into which a wind start portion of the cable is inserted and extending along a circumferential direction of the winding portion. A width of at least one portion of the groove is smaller than an external diameter of the cable.
Abstract:
A cable winding device is provided, around which a cable unit is wound that includes a first connector, a first cable connected to the first connector, and a control unit connected to the first cable and controlling an amount of a current flowing through the first cable. The cable winding device includes a fixing portion, a rotating portion provided rotatably with respect to the fixing portion. The rotating portion includes a tube portion having an outer circumferential surface around which the first cable is wound, and a first holding portion provided within the tube portion and holding the control unit.
Abstract:
A cord winder includes a base, a rotating disc, a spiral spring, a cord, a cord positioning element, a push button, and a top cover. When a first end part of the cord is pulled, the rotating disc and the cord positioning element are rotated in a first direction, and two protruding blocks of the push button are moved along an inner surface of the cord positioning element. When the first end part of the cord is no longer pulled, the two protruding blocks are respectively contacted with two notches of the inner surface of the cord positioning element. Consequently, the rotating disc and the cord positioning element are not rotated. When the push button is pressed down, the rotating disc and the cord positioning element are rotated in a second direction in response to a restoring force of the spiral spring. Consequently, the cord is retracted back.
Abstract:
A cable housing apparatus disclosed in the present specification can house a charging cable serving as standard equipment in a trunk room in an organized state without a troublesome task. This cable housing apparatus houses a charging cable having a charging connector provided in one end, a plug provided in the other end, and a CCID provided between the charging connector and the plug. The cable housing apparatus has a holder, and a reel detachably attached to the holder. The reel has an outer peripheral surface on which the charging cable is capable of being wound, and a holding part capable of holding the CCID.
Abstract:
In an aspect, in general, a spooling apparatus includes a filament feeding mechanism for deploying and retracting filament from the spooling apparatus to an aerial vehicle, an exit geometry sensor for sensing an exit geometry of the filament from the spooling apparatus, and a controller for controlling the feeding mechanism to feed and retract the filament based on the exit geometry.
