摘要: Provided is a sludge dehydration agent which enables the formation of stiff and coarse flocs even when added in a relatively small amount, has excellent gravity filtration properties, enables the production of a dehydrated cake having a low water content, and also enables an efficient dehydration treatment. A sludge dehydration agent comprising a polymer having a constituent unit derived from a cationic monomer, wherein the colloid equivalent value decrease rate of the polymer, which is calculated from mathematical formula 1, is 10% or more. (In mathematical formula 1, the colloid equivalent value (I) is a colloid equivalent value at pH 4 which is measured in deionized water by a colloid titration method, and the colloid equivalent value (II) is a colloid equivalent value at pH 4 which is measured in salt water having a concentration of 0.01 mol/L by a colloid titration method.)

摘要: Disclosed are apparatus and methods for treating wastewater. In one example a system for treating wastewater treatment is provided. The system comprises a biological reactor having an inlet in fluid communication with a source of wastewater and an outlet, the biological reactor configured to treat wastewater from the source of wastewater and output a biologically treated wastewater from the outlet, a solids-liquid separation system having an inlet in fluid communication with the outlet of the biological reactor and configured to separate the biologically treated wastewater into a solids-lean effluent and a solids-rich waste activated sludge (WAS), a treatment subsystem comprising a digester, an inlet in fluid communication with a WAS outlet of the solids-liquid separation system, and an outlet for providing ballasted and digested WAS, and a ballast feed system configured to deliver ballast to one of the biological reactor and the treatment subsystem.

摘要: A method is disclosed for dewatering of sludge from a pulp, paper or board making process, such as deinking sludge, including obtaining of an aqueous sludge including an aqueous phase and a fibre material suspended in the aqueous phase. The sludge is subjected to a pre-thickening step, where a first part of the aqueous phase is removed from the sludge and to a pressing step, where a second part of the aqueous phase is removed from the sludge, thereby obtaining a dry pressed sludge. Before or at the pre-thickening step a polymer composition having a charge density of at the most 1.7 meq/g, preferably at most 1.5 meq/g, more preferably at most 1.1 meq/g, is added to the sludge.

摘要: A process for removing water from particulate material slurries produced by horizontal drilling, vertical drilling and from dredging of bodies of water is disclosed. The process comprises a first step of water removal accomplished by diffusing a chemical reagent into the particulate material source stream that results in separating out a clean water fraction and a second step of reacting the sludge with a demulsifier and a superabsorbent polymer that locks onto the water in the remaining slurry thus turning the slurry into a solid crust. The crust is ground into a particulate form and disposed in a landfill. The combined effect of the treatments is the thickening of the particulate material slurry from about 10% solids to about 25% solids. The removed water may be used for further drilling and drinking. Another benefit is the reduced volume of the particulate material that needs to be disposed in landfills.

摘要: A method is proposed for producing a fertilizer from wastewater sludge by disinfecting a wastewater sludge in a layered form by heating at a temperature in the range of 70° C. and 80° C. and aging the heated wastewater sludge for three to five days at a temperature ranging between 30° C. to 36° C. The aging is preceded by admixing the wastewater sludge with a biological initiator. Also proposed is a system for carrying out the method. The system consists of a disinfecting unit having a heater for heating the wastewater sludge fed to the heater in a layered form and an aging unit having an aging chamber for accommodating the wastewater sludge fed from the disinfecting unit. The aging unit is provided with an agitator for admixing a biological initiator to the wastewater sludge that fills the aging chamber.
