摘要: A humidity controlling material includes: a first particle; and a second particle. The first particle includes: a first humidity controlling liquid containing a hygroscopic substance; and a first holding portion holding the first humidity controlling liquid. The second particle includes: a second humidity controlling liquid containing the hygroscopic substance; and a second holding portion holding the second humidity controlling liquid. The first holding portion and the second holding portion are formed of a polymeric material. The first humidity controlling liquid includes a first indicator a color of which changes according to an amount of moisture contained in the first humidity controlling liquid. The second humidity controlling liquid includes a second indicator a color of which changes, in a transition range different from a transition range of the first indicator, according to an amount of moisture contained in the second humidity controlling liquid.

摘要: In a process for treating a carbon dioxide-rich gas (1) containing water, the treatment by compression and/or washing and/or drying of the gas produces acidified water (W1, W2, W3, W4, W7) which is sent to a cooling circuit (W8, W10).

摘要: Carbon dioxide is recovered from an exhaust gas in the form of liquid carbon dioxide or supercritical carbon dioxide utilizing a rotary separator. Nitrogen gas recovered from the rotary separator can be expanded to provide cooling for carbon dioxide in a closed-loop CO2 power cycle that is used to cool the exhaust gas upstream of the rotary separator. The recovery can power itself and can produce excess electricity from waste heat.

摘要: Fuel tank inerting systems for aircraft are described. The systems include a fuel tank, a first reactant source fluidly connected to the fuel tank, a second reactant source, a catalytic reactor arranged to receive a first reactant from the first source and a second reactant from the second source to generate an inert gas that is supplied to the fuel tank to fill a ullage space of the fuel tank, a heat exchanger arranged between the catalytic reactor and the fuel tank and configured to at least one of cool and condense an output from the catalytic reactor to separate out an inert gas and a byproduct, a reheater arranged between the catalytic reactor and the heat exchanger, and a recirculation loop configured to extract air from downstream of the heat exchanger, pass the extracted air through the reheater, and inject reheated air upstream of the catalytic reactor.

摘要: Examples of apparatuses for harvesting water are described herein. The apparatuses include a wall having a hydrophilic contacting surface and a hydrophobic collecting surface. A plurality of pores defining an inner volume extend between the contacting surface and the collecting surface and provide a fluid flow communication between the contacting surface and the collecting surface. As air is directed across or towards the wall, water condenses on the contacting surface, seeps into the pores and passes through the wall to the collecting surface for collection.

摘要: Macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix containing the macroporous desiccant synthesized “in-situ”, the desiccant having a differential water adsorption. Process for the “in-situ” preparation of the macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix including the steps of soaking honeycomb substrate impregnated with water glass, in aqueous metal salt(s) solution or acid solution, or combination thereof, until such time that the hydrogel honeycomb matrix is obtained and thermally activating the hydrogel honeycomb matrix to produce macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix.

摘要: A method and apparatus for purifying air via a pre-purification unit (PPU) of an air separation unit (ASU) system can include passing air through a first adsorber of the PPU to purify the air for operation of the ASU system while it is at or below a first pre-selected operational capacity. In response to the operational capacity of the ASU system needing to be increased to a level above the first pre-selected operational capacity threshold, a second adsorber can be brought on-line in parallel with the first adsorber or in series with the first adsorber to provide improved purification capacity to account for the increased demand for purification capacity resulting from the increased operational capacity of the ASU system. This second adsorber can be different from the first adsorber (e.g. different in size, adsorption capacity for impurities within air, and/or configuration, etc.).
