摘要： Method and apparatus for wetting thread as it is being twisted in a double twist twisting spindle assembly, preferably by thread contact with the wettable guide or contacting surface formed by the inner wall of a balloon limiting mantle which encircles the twist spindle. The method essentially requires a liquid thread treating agent to be delivered or directed onto the thread contacting surface under regulated pressure impulses in an amount which provides a predetermined takeup of the liquid by the thread. Suitable apparatus includes dosing means wherein the pressure on the liquid can be alternately raised and lowered to create a regulated pattern of pressure impulses, for example by using a suitable impulse generator to regulate the pressure impulses. There is provided a more effective and controlled wetting of the double twisted threads.

摘要： In a textile yarn processing machine, such as a two-for-one twister or the like, having a plurality of spindle assemblies each including a driven rotor mechanism and a stationary yarn supply package carrier mechanism each defining therewithin joining elongate yarn passageways; the combination therewith is provided of pneumatically operated threading mechanisms for automatically threading yarn withdrawn from the supply package through the passageways and which is characterized by a construction which eliminates the necessity of predetermined positioning of the rotor mechanism for the threading operation and, preferably, provides for the supply of air under pressure thereto only through stationary spindle assembly components, as follows. A selectively operated, air injector nozzle is positioned at the juncture of the yarn passageways for creating an air suction through the carrier mechanism passageway and a jet of positive airflow through the rotor mechanism passageway for pneumatic threading of the yarn. Devices are provided for selectively supplying air under pressure, preferably through the stationary carrier mechanism, to the injector nozzle regardless of the position of the rotor mechanism.

摘要： In each twisting unit of a multiple twisting apparatus, a twofor-one twisting assembly imparts a first twist to each component yarn while a ring twisting assembly imparts a second twist to a doubled first-twisted yarns. A plurality of first twisted yarns are doubled under tension control and the doubled yarn is taken up by a feed mechanism so as to be supplied to the ring twisting assembly under tension control via a yarn passage formed behind the two-for-one twisting assemblies. The two-for-one twisting assemblies are arranged in two alignments along a lengthwise direction of the apparatus. All driving members are driven synchronously at a starting period and at a time of stopping the twisting operation.

摘要： A carrier for packages of yarn wound on hollow, elongate cores having cooperating means at each end thereof for axially, detachably interlocking at least two cores together for providing superimposed packages of yarn for simultaneous or successive withdrawal of yarn therefrom for further processing. The carrier is particularly adaptable for inserting the yarn packages in and withdrawing the yarn packages from a spindle assembly having a basket mechanism of a textile yarn twister. The carrier comprises a generally elongate body portion, means on the body portion cooperating with the interlocking means on one end of the cores for axially, detachably interlocking the carrier with the interlocked yarn package cores, and means on the body portion for manually gripping and handling the carrier and interlocked yarn packages without touching the yarn for mounting and withdrawal of the yarn packages in a textile machine.
