    摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for identifying ports on a power distribution board. In one aspect, the power distribution board is configured to output a plurality of signals from a plurality of ports, so that each of the output signals is different with respect to at least one signal characteristic from the other signals. In another aspect a table is provided that relates port identifiers to values of the signal characteristic. A server measures the value of the signal characteristic for a signal that is fed to the server by the power distribution board and identifies the port that outputs the signal by consulting the table.

    摘要: A dual redundant computer safety relay box system includes first and second fail-safe computing systems (FSCs) individually mounted to first and second printed circuit boards. Each FSC includes two computing modules (CPUs) designated as a first CPU and a second CPU. The first and second FSC's are both connected to a safety relay box. The printed circuit boards are isolable from each other permitting maintenance on one of the printed circuit boards while operation of the FSC of the other printed circuit board is maintained. In each FSC a health signal generated from the first and second printed circuit boards of the first and second CPUs defines a multi-level dynamic pulse signal. Presence of the dynamic pulse signal produces an output identified as each of a first and a second healthy indication signal from each of the CPUs of one of the first or second FSCs.

The power distribution device distributes electrical power to the apparatus. The power supply device includes a first conducting plate, an insulation layer and a second conducting plate that are sequentially superimposed, and a first and a second power columns inserted in the first and the second plates. The insulation layer is disposed between the first and the second conducting plates. The first and the second power columns are connected to a power supply unit in the rack to obtain electric power therefrom. Each output pin pair includes a first and a second output pins inserted in the first and the second conducting plates. The output pin pairs are connected to the apparatus in the rack to transfer electric power to the apparatus.
