Abstract:
A fluid conditioning assembly includes a fluid conditioning device defining a passage and having a first end and a second end. A control element is supported within the passage. At least the first end includes an integral radially outwardly directed flange. The integral radially outwardly directed flange is configured to be operatively and releasably coupled to a first radially outwardly directed flange of a first duct section. A technician may release the fluid conditioning device from the first duct section to remove the fluid conditioning device from the ventilation duct system for accessing the control element of the fluid conditioning device.
Abstract:
Segmented ductwork fittings shaped to minimize waste and labor while retaining the performance characteristics of traditional radius fittings. Lean Duct fittings utilize both curved sections and straight tubular sections at an angle to one another to provide a predetermined change in the direction or location of fluid flow through the finished duct system.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for modular building utilities systems and assemblies for a building are provided. A modular system may include a first assembly having a duct, inlet piping, and outlet piping coupled via a bracket in a first positional relationship, where the inlet piping and outlet piping are disposed exterior to the duct. The modular system may also include a second assembly that may also have a duct, inlet piping, and outlet piping coupled via a bracket in a second positional relationship, where the inlet piping and outlet piping are also disposed exterior to the duct. The first positional relationship of the first assembly and the second positional relationship of the second assembly may provide alignment between the respective ducts, inlet piping, and outlet piping to facilitate coupling of the first and second assemblies.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a connection box for an air line in a ventilation or air-conditioning installation, having a housing which comprises a housing wall consisting of a plurality of housing-wall regions, said housing having at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The housing can be collapsed, pushed together and/or folded in order to reduce the volume taken up by the housing, and that in the region of the inlet there is provided a flap which is mounted in the inlet such that it can pivot about a shaft or axle, which is arranged in particular centrally with respect to the opening, between an open position and a closed position and extends in its closed position at least over a substantial part of the flow cross section of the inlet, in particular completely closes the flow cross section of the inlet.
Abstract:
A steam dispersion system is disclosed. The steam dispersion system includes a header and a mounting plate spaced from the header. A steam dispersion tube including a first end and a second end and an interior cavity defined between the first end and the second end is mounted between the mounting plate and the header. The steam dispersion tube defines a longitudinal axis. A biasing structure is mounted between the mounting plate and the header, wherein the biasing structure applies a biasing force on the steam dispersion tube along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the steam dispersion tube when mounted between the header and the mounting plate.
Abstract:
A cornerplate-less duct includes plate members joined to each other at side end portions by a seam joint to form a tubular duct having a rectangular cross-section. Two end portions of a plate are bent perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the plate to form flange forming portions. Corner forming portions protrude from side ends of the flange forming portions in a width direction to form corner portions at the end portions of the duct. In an expanded shape of the plate, a cut portion is provided close to a longitudinal center of the plate member such that the cut portion extends in a width direction of the plate member and has a depth substantially equal to an overlapping portion of the corner forming portion.
Abstract:
A seamless ventilation duct (1) is disclosed. The duct (1) includes integrally formed hinge means (6) that enables the duct (1) to be collapsed for transportation and/or storage prior to use.
Abstract:
This invention is aimed at providing a cornerplate-less duct having a rational construction, which can significantly reduce the number of parts by effectively utilizing scraps conventionally discarded. Plate members are joined to each other at side end portions by a seam joint structure to form a tubular duct 10 having a rectangular cross-section. A starting end portion and a terminal end portion of a plate are bent in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal direction Za of the plate to form flange forming portions 3 integral with the plate. Corner forming portions 4 are formed integrally to protrude from side ends of the flange forming portions in a width direction to form corner portions at the starting and terminal end portions of the duct. In an expanded shape of plate 1A or 1B, a cut portion 2 is provided closer to a center in the longitudinal direction Za than a starting end 1s or a terminal end 1e of the plate member such that the cut portion 2 extends in a width direction Ya of the plate member and has a depth substantially equal to an overlapping portion W1 of the corner forming portion 4.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a transitional telescoping plenum apparatus that is intended to facilitate the interconnection of HVAC equipment to duct systems. The unit expands in length, width and height directions, and is composed of modular tier sections. Each modular tier includes at least four corner sections, with each corner section being interleaved with two adjacent corner sections to complete a single modular tier. Each modular tier includes a tier-connecting flange that communicates with a tier-connecting flange on another modular tier, such that the modular tiers can be interconnected to form a finished transitional telescoping plenum apparatus. Clips are also taught for connecting modular tiers to each other.
Abstract:
A floor panel for use in an air handling unit that provides a thermal barrier to the passage of heat. The panel is reinforced internally so that it can support a heavy piece of air handling equipment inside the unit such as an air conditioner heat exchanger coil. The panel includes a reservoir for collecting moisture from the coil and rapidly exhausting the moisture from the unit.
