A tubular casing forms an annulus about the uptube and communicates with the cap. Vaporizer fuel is carried upwardly in the uptube and downwardly in the annulus. A zero pressure regulator provides fuel to the burner.

摘要: A gear pump includes a valve member adapted to engage a valve seat and close a control port and urged to an open position by a coil spring. In order to reduce cocking of the valve member relative to the valve seat when the valve member is closed, the end coil of the spring that engages the valve member is formed so as to be in non-parallel relation with the sealing surface of the valve seat when the spring is relaxed. As the spring is compressed during closure of the valve member, the end coil moves into parallelism with the sealing surface in order to enable the valve member to squarely engage the sealing surface.

摘要: The improved control and purge valve of the present invention is useful for the atomization of heavy fuel oil for combustion. The present control and purge valve is operable between closed, purging, and open positions, and includes an elongated valve body having a disc carrier disposed therein. The disc carrier preferably comprises a plurality of closure and orifice means thereon for opening or closing internally disposed steam exit, steam bypass exit, and oil exit ports to effect the closed, purging, and open positions of the valve of the present invention.

摘要: A valve for incorporation in a fuel line, between a pump and a fuel burner, has a valve chamber and a valve member in the chamber. The valve member normally closes a connection from the pump to the burner, but opens this connection in response to a suitably raised pump discharge pressure. Means are provided whereby, upon the shutting off of such pump discharge pressure, the valve, by magnetic action not only closes but momentarily causes fuel to be drawn from the line to the burner, to prevent fuel from dripping out of the burner and from thereby causing smell, spillage or clogging of the burner.

摘要: In a non-drip valve for a fluid flow line having a vacuum unit comprising supply chamber, a discharge chamber and a vacuum chamber connected to the discharge chamber to withdraw fluid therefrom when the forward flow is arrested, an improved control valve controlling the flow of fluid from a source to the supply chamber comprising a ball element operable between alternate positions, one of which admits fluid from the source of supply to the supply chamber and blocks the flow of fluid from the supply chamber to a return line, and the other of which blocks flow of fluids from the supply source to the supply chamber and simultaneously affords flow of fluid from the supply chamber to the return line, the position of said ball element being controlled by the armature of a solenoid.

摘要: A burner control system comprises a housing defining a reservoir therein and primary and secondary pumps disposed in the reservoir for pumping oil through a viscosity valve and into a burner. The outlet side of the primary pump communicates pressurized oil to the inlet side of the secondary pump directly via intercommunicating conduit means. A back pressure valve communicates with the conduit means to substantially equalize the oil pressure between the inlet and outlet of the secondary pump, discharging the excess oil capacity back into the reservoir.

摘要: In a fuel injection apparatus of the type that is associated with a gas turbine-type vehicle power plant, there is provided a differential pressure valve which is disposed in the fuel path and which ensures a constant pressure drop across a fuel metering valve regardless of the fuel quantities metered thereby. In order to reduce the back pressure effect of the fuel on the operation of the differential pressure valve, the stationary flat valve seat of the latter has, instead of one, a plurality of fuel flow openings, so that the pressure cross section for any given opening cross section is reduced with respect to known differential pressure valves.
