摘要： A snap-away auxiliary tine for harvester reels. The tine is attached to its supporting shaft by a split cylinder which partially encloses a shaft fitting. Rounded axial grooves in the inside of the split cylinder interlock with splines on the shaft fitting and prevent normal rotation of the tine. Extreme force on the tine, such as that when the tine hits a hard object, causes the split cylinder to spread slightly, disengage the grooves and rotate on the shaft, thus preventing tine breakage. Manual rotation repositions the tine.

摘要： A plurality of tubular bat blade sections are interconnected by journal sections having end portions which extend into the end portions of the bat sections. Crank sections at the two ends of the bat include end portions which extend into the outer ends of the two outer bat blade sections. The bat blade sections are tapered from top to bottom. Lower portions of the bat blade sections are received in mounting channels provided at upper ends of molded plastic tines. These tines may carry buttons which snap into mounting openings formed in side wall portions of the bat sections.

摘要： A reel for a crop-harvesting machine having a center shaft and mounting plates sleeved thereon. The end plates are connected to the shaft and the intermediate plate is loose on the shaft. The plates have series of holes about their outer peripheries so arranged that with a minimum of holes four, five or six tine bars can be mounted on the plates. The bars are provided with mounting brackets which support bats disposed ahead of the tine bars in planes tangential to the peripheries of the plates to hold the crop down against the deck of the harvesting machine and to readily shed the material on the back side of the reel.

摘要： A reel structure of the type used in harvesting machinery to harvest grain and similar grasslike crops, and in cultivating machinery to work or condition the ground. Such reel structure includes an elongated center shaft supported for rotation about the longitudinal axis thereof, and it is equipped at longitudinally spaced locations therealong with drive spiders each of which has radially extending spokes. The spokes of successive spiders are aligned in longitudinally spaced pairs and respectively support rotatable bat assemblies therebetween having fingers that project therefrom to engage the crop or ground as the case may be. The present invention utilizes connector flanges carried by the center shaft and cooperative with the drive spiders in a particular manner to mount the drive spiders upon the center shaft and effect a torque-transmitting interconnection therebetween.
