Abstract: A method of a UE in a wireless communication system supporting a shared spectrum channel access is provided. The UE comprises: receiving, from a BS over a first downlink channel, a SS/PBCH block; determining a transmission window in which the received SS/PBCH block is located; determining whether a CORESET for Type0-PDCCH CSS is present based on the received SS/PBCH block; determining a parameter for a QCL assumption of candidate SS/PBCH blocks within the transmission window; determining a group of QCLed candidate SS/PBCH blocks within the transmission window based on the determined parameter for the QCL assumption; determining a group of slots including the Type0-PDCCH CSS, wherein each slot of the group of slots corresponds to a candidate SS/PBCH block within the group of QCLed candidate SS/PBCH blocks; and receiving, over a second downlink channel, at least one Type0-PDCCH based on the determined groups of slots including the Type0-PDCCH CSS.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes at least one processor configured to identify a channel access mechanism to gain access to an operating channel of unlicensed band, perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation over the operating channel according to the identified channel access mechanism and obtain a channel occupancy time (COT) for transmission and reception on the operating channel after the LBT operation is successful, and identify, within the COT, one or more switching points for the UE to switch from uplink (UL) transmission to downlink (DL) reception or from the DL reception to the UL transmission. The UE further includes a transceiver configured to transmit to or receive from a base station (BS) over the operating channel during the COT, and switch from the UL transmission to the DL reception or from the DL reception to the UL transmission based on the identified one or more switching points.

The method comprises: receiving, from a base station (BS), a set of radio resource control (RRC) parameters comprising at least one measurement object (MO); identifying, based on the at least one MO, at least one modulo value for synchronization signals and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks, and at least one bitmap indicating indices of the SS/PBCH blocks; identifying a set of SS/PBCH block locations based on the at least one modulo value and the at least one bitmap; performing radio resource management (RRM) measurement based on the identified set of SS/PBCH block locations; and transmitting, to the BS via an uplink channel, a measurement report message including a result of the RRM measurement.

The method and apparatus comprises: receiving a synchronization signals and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block; determining whether a shared spectrum channel access is enabled; determining a first index of the SS/PBCH block as a candidate SS/PBCH block index (ISSB1) based on a number of candidate SS/PBCH blocks in a half frame; and determining a second index of the SS/PBCH block as an SS/PBCH block index (ISSB2) based on a quasi-co-location (QCL) parameter (Q) indicated by a PBCH in the SS/PBCH block, wherein the SS/PBCH block index (ISSB2) is determined as: ISSB2=ISSB1 mod Q based on a determination that the shared spectrum channel access is enabled, where mod is a modular operation; or ISSB2=ISSB1 based on the determination that the shared spectrum channel access is not enabled.
