Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission is associated with a first type of service or a second type of service, wherein the second type of service is associated with a higher reliability or a lower latency than the first type of service. The UE may transmit the PUCCH transmission using a first set of resources when the PUCCH transmission is associated with the first type of service or using a second set of resources when the PUCCH transmission is associated with the second type of service. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink control information (UCI) transmission for overlapping physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource assignments with repetition. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving scheduling to transmit on the PUSCH in a first one or more slots associated with a first number of repetitions and scheduling to transmit on the PUCCH in a second one or more slots associated with a second number of repetitions. The scheduled transmissions overlap in at least one slot. The method includes determining which channel to transmit UCI on and which channel to drop for each of the first and second one or more slots. The method includes transmitting or dropping the UCI in the first and second one or more slots in accordance with the determination.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling an UE to selecting acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) resources from a subset of a gNB resource pool. The example method may receive, from an gNB, a radio resource control (RRC) configuration indicating a UE-specific resource set that is a subset of a gNB resource pool. The UE may determine one or more ACK/NACK resources from the UE-specific resource set for an upcoming physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In some aspects, the UE may determine the one or more ACK/NACK resources based on receiving, from the gNB, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) including a corresponding ACK/NACK resource configuration. In other aspects, the RRC may contain multiple resource subsets and the UE may determine the one or more ACK/NACK resources based on determining a size of a payload for a UCI to be transmitted on the PUCCH. The aspects may thus enable dynamic ACK/NACK resource allocation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine information that identifies a resource for transmitting an acknowledgment of a message associated with a random access procedure. The information that identifies the resource may be determined based at least in part on at least one of: a frequency band associated with the random access procedure, a resource associated with at least one message in a sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure, a payload of at least one message in the sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure, or a grant associated with another message in the sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure. In some aspects, the user equipment may transmit the acknowledgment based at least in part on the information that identifies the resource. Numerous other aspects are provided.

The report configuration is associated with a waveform type. The wireless communication device receives, from the first link in a second time interval following the first time interval, second control information that is dependent on the control report. The report configuration includes a power headroom (PHR) report configuration. The PHR report configuration includes a reference PHR report configuration. The example method generally includes generating a primary synchronization signal (PSS) utilizing a first code sequence and a cover code applied to the first code sequence over a first number of symbols within one or more subframes, generating a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) based on a second code sequence over a second number of symbols within one or more subframes, and transmitting the PSS and the SSS in the first and second subframes to a first type of a user equipment (UE) that communicates on one or more narrowband regions of wider system bandwidth.

Abstract: Cell selection techniques are provided for network access to cells that may employ one or more coverage enhancement techniques. A user equipment (UE), which may be a machine type communication (MTC) device, upon initial acquisition or upon wakeup may measure a reference signal received power (RSRP), reference signal received quality (RSRQ), or both, and determine a cell selection value based at least in part on the RSRP, RSRQ, or a combination thereof. The cell selection value may be determined based on an offset, which may be selected based on a measurement accuracy capability of the UE. UE sequential access attempts, neighbor cell list information that may include coverage enhancement of neighboring cells transmissions, and cell re-selection measurement frequency adjustments are also described.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure implement techniques for power control management between the base station and the UE to support multiple waveforms and services. In one example, the power control management system may implement independent power control loops for each waveform and service (e.g., eMBB, uRLLC, etc.) supported by the wireless communication system. For example, the base station may transmit a first power control command to a UE for first waveform (e.g., CP-OFDM) or service (e.g., eMBB) and a second power control command to the UE for the second waveform (DFT-OFDM) or service (e.g., uRLLC). Features of the present disclosure may also implement techniques that allow the base station to transmit a single power control command for configuring the power control for a plurality of waveforms or services. Upon receiving the power control commands, the UE may configure the transmission power for uplink traffic based on the power control commands.
