Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A parent wireless node may determine that low latency communications having a latency below a threshold are to be performed with a child wireless node. The parent wireless node may modify, by at least one of the first communication link interface of the parent wireless node, or a second communication link interface of the parent wireless node that is different from the first communication link interface, or a combination thereof, a previously configured resource type for the first communication link interface based at least in part on the low latency communications. The parent wireless node may transmit, from the first communication link interface of the parent wireless node, a grant to the child wireless node indicating that the low latency communications are to be performed.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a soft physical cell identifier (PCI) change within a wireless network. A scheduling entity may communicate with a set of one or more scheduled entities within a first cell utilizing a first PCI. The scheduling entity may determine that a second PCI of a second cell co-located with the first cell has been assigned to the scheduling entity, for example, as a result of a PCI collision. The scheduling entity may implement a soft PCI change from the first PCI to the second PCI during a transition period within which the set of one or more scheduled entities may be transferred from the first cell to the second cell. The scheduling entity may then discontinue using the first PCI after completion of the transition period.

Abstract: A first apparatus may determine that a DU function of a child IAB node is to transition between a first set of resources associated with an MT function of the child IAB node and a second set of resources associated with the DU function. The first apparatus may further configure a guard period associated with the transition time based on the first set of resources and based on the second set resources. A second apparatus determine to transition between a first set of resources associated with an MT function of the second apparatus and a second set of resources associated with a DU function of the second apparatus at a transition time. The second apparatus may further transmit, to a parent IAB apparatus, information requesting a guard period associated with the transition time based on the transition between the first set of resources and the second set resources.

Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to a network node for changing a physical cell identifier (PCI). The network node transmits a first signal based on a first PCI during a first synchronization signal block (SSB) occasion, transmits a second signal based on the first PCI during a second SSB occasion, and transitions from the first PCI to a second PCI. During a transition period, the network node transmits the first signal based on the second PCI during the first SSB occasion, and continues to transmit the second signal based on the first PCI during the second SSB occasion. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for hop-count indication in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. An IAB-node may adopt and indicate multiple values for hop-count. The hop-count may be conveyed by a number of different reference signals and channels. A resource pattern and/or a slot pattern may also be associated with the hop-count to simply signaling. By associating the patterns with the hop-count, an IAB-node may be able to infer the resource pattern used by another IAB-node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which multiple different wireless resource configurations for a multiple-hop wireless network may be configured and selected to provide for efficient updates to resource configurations. A central entity may configure one or more other nodes of the network with a number of different wireless resource configurations for backhaul communications among the other nodes. A first node may receive the number of different wireless resource configurations, identify wireless resources associated with a first resource configuration that are allocated for backhaul communications, and communicate with a second node using the allocated resources. In the event that the first node determines that a different wireless resource configuration should be used for communications with the second node, the first node may select a second resource configuration from the number of different wireless resource configurations for further communications with the second node.
