Abstract: An access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) is associated with a first communication link, and one or more secondary APs of the AP MLD are associated with one or more respective secondary communication links of the AP MLD. The first AP of the AP MLD generates a frame including a first change sequence field, one or more secondary change sequence fields, and a critical update flag subfield. The first change sequence field carries a value of the most-recent critical update for the first AP. The one or more secondary change sequence fields carry values of the most-recent critical updates for the one or more respective secondary APs. The critical update flag subfield carries an indication of a change in value of at least one of the secondary change sequence fields. The first AP transmits the frame over the first communication link of the AP MLD.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for advertising operating channels that are being operated in an unlicensed frequency band. One or more access points (APs) may transmit discovery information on a dedicated discovery channel for the unlicensed frequency band. The discovery information may indicate at least one operating channel that is being used by an AP for providing wireless access. The discovery information also may include other information useful for a station (STA) to discover APs, operating channels, and operating parameters. The STA may monitor the dedicated discovery channel to obtain the discovery information without conducting an active scanning or passive scanning procedure.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication such as coordinated beamforming or Joint MIMO. In some aspects, distributed MIMO is used to support communication in a cluster of wireless nodes (e.g., access points). A distributed MIMO scheduling scheme as taught herein is used to schedule the wireless nodes (e.g., access points and/or stations) operating within the cluster. For example, stations may be scheduled across basis services sets of the access points for a downlink transmission and/or an uplink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for improved handling of adjacent channel interference in multi-link aggregation scenarios. In accordance with the described techniques, a device may establish a set of wireless links for communication with a second device, the set of wireless links supporting parallel transmission during at least a first duration of a multi-link session, the set of wireless links including at least a first wireless link and a second wireless link. The device may modify a transmission parameter for the first wireless link or a clear channel assessment (CCA) parameter for the second wireless link, or a combination thereof. The device may then perform the CCA procedure on the second wireless link and transmit at least a first portion of the message on the first wireless link based on the modified transmission parameter or modified CCA parameter.

In one aspect, an apparatus may establish a first communication link with a first station (STA) of the first BSS using a first frequency band. The apparatus may determine a first link profile for a second communication link by customizing one or more management elements of management information associated with the first communication link. The apparatus may configure a first non-inheritance element of the first link profile associated with the second communication link to indicate usage of at least one management element of the management information by the second communication link is disabled. The apparatus may generate a management frame that comprises at least the first link profile, and may output the management frame for transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for providing uplink broadcast service connectivity via a wireless local area network (WLAN). In some implementations, a wireless device may transmit an uplink communication to an access point (AP) that supports uplink broadcast services, and the AP may forward the uplink communication to a remote destination indicated in the uplink communication. In some implementations, the wireless device may be in an unassociated state and may transmit the uplink communication without establishing a formal wireless session with the AP. The uplink communication may include a request for the AP to embed AP-provided data to the uplink communication before forwarding it the remote destination. This disclosure includes techniques to prevent flooding and unauthorized uplink communications being used for a denial of service attack on the remote destination.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for high efficiency (HE) beacons. HE supported access points (APs) and stations (STAs) may operate on resource deployments used for Wi-Fi technology and without support for legacy devices, also referred to as a greenfield deployment. An AP may identify updated capability information and transmit a HE physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) including a beacon frame. A STA may receive, from the AP, the HE or EHT PPDU and identify an indication of change to a content or format of the beacon frame relative to a reference beacon frame. Based on the identified indication, the STA may then determine an updated content or format for the beacon frame and process the beacon frame or skip processing for one or more portions of the beacon frame.
