    摘要: A confined pulsed laser deposition method and apparatus that includes an ablative coating between a transparent confinement layer and a backing plane, and a laser beam directed through the confinement layer to ablate the coating at generally ambient temperature and pressure, and using laser induced pressure to synthesize metaphase from the ablative coating. For example, diamond phase carbon can be synthesized from a graphite coating. The laser beam can be directed through a focus lens to control the final spot size, or through a beam diffuser to make the intensity more uniform. An XYZ-stage can position a desired target area of the ablative coating to be irradiated by the laser beam. The laser beam can have an intensity of less than about 6 GW/cm2, or less than about 4 GW/cm2. The laser beam can have an excitation wavelength of about 568 nm.

    摘要: A method mediated with in-vitro transcription (“IVT”) which permits miniaturization of multiplexed DNA and RNA analysis, and in which elongation-mediated multiplexed analysis of polymorphisms (eMAP®) is used as the analysis step, is described. Also described is a method mediated with IVT is for selecting a designated strand from T7-tagged double stranded DNA: wherein, the selected strand forms the template for RNA synthesis. In one embodiment, double stranded DNA incorporating the T7 (or other) promoter sequence at the 3′ end or the 5′ end is produced, for example, by amplification of genomic DNA using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Also disclosed are nested PCR designs permitting allele analysis in combination with strand selection by IVT. Further, in one embodiment of a homogeneous format for transcription-mediated amplification and multiplexed detection (which may be particularly suited for viral or pathogen detection), encoded microparticles display “looped” capture probe configurations permitting the generation of a signal upon capture of RNA product and real-time assay monitoring.

    摘要: A mounting mechanism for attaching a data storage device to a chassis includes a housing, first and second driving members, a latching member, first, second, and third elastic members. The housing defines first, second and third sliding paths therein. The first and third sliding paths extend along a first direction of the housing for receiving the first driving member and the latching member. The second sliding path extends along a second direction of the housing substantially perpendicular to the first direction for receiving the second driving member. The first driving member forms an inclined guiding surface at an end thereof outside the housing. When the guiding surface is pressed down, the driving member moves inward, driving the second driving to move and disengage from the latching member, and the latching member moves along the first direction by an elastic force of the third elastic member.

A change of the one or more cardiac signal vectors is detected using the one or more cardiac signal vectors. Cardiac arrhythmias are discriminated using the one or more cardiac signal vectors.
