摘要： The insulating concrete form system includes longitudinal and corner block assemblies each having a pair of side panels configured with tie receivers interacting with panel spacing ties to hold the side panels in an opposing manner and leading edges with an alternating arrangement of projections and recesses for interlocking with neighboring block assemblies. Each panel spacing tie includes a mid-support section interposing in between and connecting to a pair of end sections by a living hinge with each end section being configured with a flange member for placement within an opposing spatial wedge of the tie receiver, whereby the living hinge possesses the capability of allowing the side panels to move inwardly toward one another in a racked position to yield compactness of the longitudinal block assembly for economical transport. The corner block assembly also includes corner panel spacing ties to supplementally reinforce its structure to withstand hydrostatic blowout caused by poured concrete.

Polymeric F-shaped strips are attached to novel tie bars by spring clip retainers, and receive the edges of insulation panels to hold them against the forms so that uncured concrete is poured between the forms and against the panels. After the concrete is cured, the forms are removed, leaving the spring clips and tie bars in the concrete, and resulting in a concrete wall having insulation panels and secured strips, the strips also serving to receive dry wall fasteners.

摘要： A concrete form tie assembly in which the tie rod is formed from a high tensile strength flexible wire member, with the sleeve being formed of a flexible or yieldable material. A short sleeve member is inserted into the spacer sleeve adjacent one end with washer members on opposite ends thereof for retaining on the tie rod member which is provided with spaced protrusions for coaction with the wash members, the tube and washer assembly serving to rigidify the assembly for assisting in insertion and removal of the tie rod and sleeve as a unit. The leading end of the tube and washer assembly may be provided with a conical end to act as a guide. The ends of the tie rod member are enlarged, such as by welding head members thereto, the head members being configured for coaction with conventional hairpin or snap tie wedge members.

摘要： Prefabricated modular wallform units are formed with panels designed to mate against one another and to define an aperture through which a tie rod can pass. End rails at the mating edges of the panels have webs, interior end flanges to fit against a sheet of sheathing material (e.g., plywood), and exterior end flanges to be supported against strongback walers. Elongated kerfs are formed in mating edges of the interior and exterior end flanges. These mate to define a universal through-passage suitable for any of a variety of types of tie rod. A median flange extends along the length of the mating side of the web on a line intermediate the end flanges. The median flanges are narrower than the respective end flanges and serve as distance fingers for locating the tie rods. Universal holes are also provided in the webs adjacent the median flanges and on the sides away from the interior end flanges. A T-bolt can be inserted through the universal holes of two mating end rails to join two mating panels together.

摘要： A retractable, removable and reusable tie assembly for concrete forms includes a single tie rod having a pipe slidably mounted on one end thereof and an internal spreader system interposed between its ends for spacing the forms a predetermined distance apart during concrete pour. The internal spreader system includes a loose cone adapted to be threadedly engaged with one end of the pipe and a rubber tube adapted to sealingly engage with this cone as well as a second cone secured to the other end of the tube. This connection includes a ferrule and insert engageable with a steel washer embeded in the secured cone. The insert is interiorly threaded to facilitate removal of the cone and attached rubber tube after the forms have been stripped. Interengaging surfaces of threaded insert and the rod assure the proper location of the internal spreader system after the first and closing form have been erected. Wedges at each end of the tie assembly completes the erection of the forms. After the concrete has been formed and satisfactorily hardened the forms are then stripped. Towards this end, the rod and associated pipe are removed by initially uncoupling one or both of the wedges and then unscrewing the pipe from its associated cone. Thereafter the loose cone may be removed with a suitable tool or bolt with a thread mating with the internal thread of this cone. The other cone and secured tube may then be removed by means of a second tool or bolt having a threaded portion mating with that of the thread of the insert. The tie assembly may then be reused where desired.

摘要： A seal member is provided for use in concrete wall form construction which sealingly engages with a form bore through which a tie rod supporting the seal member passes so as to prevent leakage of wet concrete from the from. The seal member comprises a cylindrical member which is radially expanded into sealing engagement with the form bore by means of a partly tapered seal element in the form of an off-set retainer core. Sealing is automatically achieved by means of the seal member to be axially moved by the form wedges during locking up of the form. Alternate embodiments provide a radially expanding seal, which is expanded by axial movement of the seal member, as well as an off-set retainer core. The offset enables the frustoconically shaped cones or insert members to function both to form a depression in the cast concrete, as well as to serve as spreaders for location of the wall forms. Additional embodiments provide a rubber ring seal, together with shield members; yet another embodiment provides a sealing sleeve.

摘要： An arrangement for holding spaced opposite sheating boards of a construction form against movement away from each other during pouring of concrete or the like between the boards, in which an elongated metal strip extends between and with opposite ends beyond the boards. The strip is provided with a plurality of fixing holes arranged equally spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the strip and a plurality of elongated locking holes spaced from the fixing holes and from each other in the longitudinal direction of the strip. The arrangement includes further a first abutment means which abuts against the outer face of one of the boards and which includes a fixing member which may be a pin or a wedge driven into one of the fixing holes, whereas the second abutment means abuts against the outer face of the opposite board. The second abutment means includes a wedge driven in one of the elongated locking holes. The reference spacing of the fixing holes and that of the locking holes, the length of each locking hole and the wedge of the second abutment means are constructed and dimensioned in such a manner to assure that the opposite boards can be held against movement away from each other regardless of the desired spacing between the boards.
