摘要: Systems and methods for creation and retention of immutable snapshots to facilitate ransomware protection are provided. According to one embodiment, multiple use cases for retention of snapshots are supported, including (i) maintaining a locked snapshot on a source volume of a first storage system on which it was originally created for at least an associated immutable retention time; (ii) replicating the locked snapshot to a destination volume of a second storage system and also maintaining the replica of the locked snapshot on the destination volume for at least the associated immutable retention time; and (iii) maintaining an unlocked snapshot on the source volume, replicating the unlocked snapshot to the destination volume, locking the replicated snapshot on the destination volume when it has an associated non-zero immutable retention time, and thereafter maintaining the replica on the destination volume in accordance with the immutable retention time.

摘要: A method for recovering files from a filesystem stored across sparse files in a cloud environment is described. According to the method, a data management system may receive a request to read the files. The data management system may identify one or more target address ranges corresponding to the files indicated via the request. The data management system may read index information for the sparse files in the cloud environment. The index information may indicate respective address ranges for data blocks within the sparse files. The data management system may identify one or more data blocks within one or more sparse files as corresponding to address ranges that overlap with the one or more target address ranges based on the index information. The data management system may transmit, to the cloud environment, one or more read requests for the identified one or more data blocks.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A data management system (DMS) may facilitate multi-layer data structure recovery. For example, the DMS may receive a request to recover a data structure backed up by the DMS to a destination environment. The data structure may include virtual machines that are organized according to a first topology that includes multiple logical layers. In response to the request, the DMS may determine the first topology using metadata associated with the structure and determine destination resources of the destination environment to which to recover the virtual machines. The destination resources may be organized according to a second topology that is the same as or based on the first topology and that includes multiple logical layers, and the DMS may recover the virtual machines to the destination environment.

摘要: An apparatus comprises at least one processing device configured to identify, utilizing virtualization software running on a storage system, a snapshot lineage comprising snapshots of a storage volume, the snapshot lineage comprising (i) a local snapshot lineage on the storage system and (ii) a cloud snapshot lineage on cloud storage external to the storage system. The processing device is also configured to utilize the virtualization software to select a given snapshot in the cloud snapshot lineage to recover to the local snapshot lineage, to expose a cloud storage volume for the given snapshot, and to map the cloud storage volume to a target local storage volume on the storage system. The processing device is further configured to recover the given snapshot to the local snapshot lineage by utilizing a data mover of the storage system to write data of the given snapshot to the target local storage volume.

摘要: According to one aspect, data collected from various modules on an autonomous vehicle is synchronized, and snapshots of the synchronized data, referred to herein as ‘data snapshots’, are created. Contextual information associated with the data snapshots, e.g., indexes and/or metadata, is collected and/or derived, and the contextual information is stored along with the snapshots. The data snapshots may then be substantially searched, using the contextual information, to identify particular scenes for analysis. In addition to searching for particular scenes, series of scenes may be searched using the contextual information such that scenarios encountered by the autonomous vehicle over time may be identified.
