    摘要: Crossbow bowstring positioning systems are provided. In one aspect of the invention a crossbow bowstring positioning system has a crank housing supporting an axle and positioning a first connector at a front facing surface of the crank housing, a length of rope connected between two separated points on the axle; a bowstring connector joined to the length of rope and connectable to a bowstring of the crossbow, a mounting having a buffer tube mount mountable to a buffer tube of a crossbow; and a crank operable to rotate the axle to control an extent to which the rope is wound onto the axle and a position of the bowstring connector relative to the axle. The crank housing and mounting can be readily assembled in a small space and an efficient manner while providing paths through which a force experienced by the axle during use can be resisted.

    摘要: An archery bow includes a riser having a sight plane associated therewith. A pair of flexible limbs extend oppositely from the riser, with each limb having a distal end. A pair of rotating members are pivotally coupled to a respective distal end. A rotation controller includes a first saddle and a first string having opposite ends. The first string wraps the first saddle and the opposite ends are connected to a distal end of one of the limbs. The first string is located on opposite sides of the sight plane. A shoot through window includes a second saddle, a third saddle, and a second string wrapping each of the second saddle and the third saddle. The second string is located on opposite sides of the sight plane.

    摘要: The improved assembly comprises a compound archery bow having a pair of spaced bow limbs, a handle with arrow rest, pulleys connected to the limbs, first and second pulley cables and a bowstring connected to the cables. A novel drawcheck is connected to the cables out of the path of an arrow when placed on the rest. The drawcheck includes an indicator component releasably secured to one of the cables and which comprises a flexible clicker blade or a light assembly with a switch arm disposed in the path of travel of an activator component secured to a second adjacent cable. The latter comprises a protuberance, such as a bead, block, cylinder or the like. The activator and indicator components travel with their respective cables toward each other as the bowstring is drawn, and contact each other to activate the indicator component and generate a signal when the bowstring is at full draw. Thus, a light is turned on or an audible click is made by the indicator blade on a tympanum near thereto to signal full draw. Arrow deflection by the clicker is thus totally avoided. The drawcheck is located in a protected area on the bow and is fully adjustable. The assembly provides improved shooting performance.

    摘要: An archery bow string is secured intermediate its ends to eccentrically pivoted cams mounted at the outer ends of the limbs of a bow. An adjustable control cable operatively interconnects each limb, inwardly of the associated cam, and a lever mounted pivotally on the bow inwardly of said limb connection. The terminal end of each end segment of the bow string is secured to the lever associated with the opposite limb, outwardly of the control cable connection to said lever, in order to balance a maximum pull weight which remains constant throughout a predetermined intermediate portion of the draw length. Adjustment of the length of the control cables effects adjustment of the tension and flexure of the limbs, pull weight of the bow string, angular position of the cams. A coupling member is used to connect a working stretch portion of a bow string with its end segments.

    摘要: A cocking system for a crossbow. A string carrier slides along the center rail during movement with the draw string in the released configuration to a retracted position that locates the draw string in the drawn configuration. A trigger is positioned to move the catch from the closed position and the open position to fire the crossbow when the string carrier is in the retracted position. At least one cocking rope is configured to engage with the string carrier to retract the string carrier and the draw string to the drawn configuration. A retaining mechanism retains the string carrier in the retracted position and the draw string in the drawn configuration independent of the cocking ropes.
