    Abstract: An innovative augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) crossbow system that includes a bow frame assembly, a stock, a sight assembly, a cocking assembly, a resistance assembly and an electronic device assembly with a mobile device. These components are configured to structurally interact to provide the user with an experience of loading, aiming and firing a virtual crossbow arrow that closely simulates real-life archery and crossbow scenarios without firing an actual crossbow arrow. Due to its unique components and their layout, the AR/VR crossbow system is not configured to fire real arrows. An interactive crossbow application is loaded on the mobile device and simulate real life archery scenarios such as hunting scenarios or target competition scenarios. The mobile device also includes a gyroscope to analyze the orientation of the crossbow frame assembly and a microphone to determine when a simulated arrow is fired within the crossbow application.

    Abstract: A method and system for calibrating an electronic range finding device to a specific firing device and specific projectile, wherein the range finding device comprises a display, wherein the method comprises aiming the range finding device at a first mark and adjusting a dynamically positioned indicator at a second mark, wherein the range finding device is calibrated to a specific firing device and specific projectile, whereby the range finding device provides information about the projectile trajectory path. The system uses the true calibration for a specific firing device, such as a bow, crossbow, rifle, or tank, to select a ballistic table and display accurate projectile trajectory information including an aiming point and an indication of whether or not the projectile has a clear shot to a target.

    Abstract: A variable range bow sight mounting assembly for an archery sight includes an elevation bar for connection with a bow and a mounting bracket configured for adjustable connection with the elevation bar. The mounting bracket contains a channel configured to receive an extension bar for sliding movement of the bar relative to the mounting bracket. The elevation bar contains a plurality of spaced openings with which the mounting bracket may be selectively connected to vertically position a sight aperture at the remote end of the extension bar as desired by the archer.

    Abstract: An archery sight for use with archery bows having different draw weights is provided. The archery sight includes a plurality of sight pins for demarcating a respective plurality of different target distances, with at least some of the sight pins being gang adjustable for accommodating the different draw weights. An adjustment member is movable along a first direction between first and second positions reflective of first and second draw weights, the adjustment member has a plurality of travel pathways being operably associated with the plurality of sight pins to move the sight pins along a second direction different from the first direction so that movement between the travel and the sight pins causes the sight pins to simultaneously move in a second to thereby demarcate their respective target distances for the different draw weights.

    Abstract: A targeting system operable to be used with a bow to assist an operator with striking a target with an arrow. The targeting system may comprise a processor, a target sighting window, a ranging module and a projector. The processor may be configured to control the projector to project a first sighting element onto the target sighting window to select the target, determine a range to the selected target based on the reflected beam, determine an orientation of the bow based at least partially on the determined range to the selected target, determine a location on the target sighting window to present a compensated sighting mark corresponding to the determined orientation, and control the projector to present the variable compensated sighting mark on the target sighting window.
