摘要: The invention relates to a liquid-permeable primary dressing in the form of a supple thermoplastic section of material (1.4), comprising: a first smooth surface (4); a second surface (5) facing away from the smooth surface (4); and a plurality of three-dimensional perforations, whose walls extend from the first smooth surface (4) and end in an overhang with a free edge, thus making the second surface (5) rough to the touch. At least one of the free edges has an angled section that is approximately perpendicular to a perforation axis. In a preferred embodiment, the periphery (13) of the material section is smooth on both sides, i.e. on both the first and second surfaces (4; 5), the periphery (13) of the surface (5) that was at first rough being thermally smoothed.

摘要: Provided is a further improved wound dressing suitable for a method for treating a wound while maintaining a moist environment created by exudate oozing from the wound. The wound dressing (5) comprises at least three layers including a first layer, a second layer and a third layer in order from the side used in contact with a wound site, which layers are integrally stacked together. The first layer (1) comprises a resin sheet material having a number of pores penetrating in a thickness direction. The second layer (2) comprises a sheet material of which the surface is water-repellent and becomes water-permeable when pressure is applied. The third layer (3) comprises a sheet material capable of absorbing and holding water. The wound dressing optionally comprises a fourth layer comprising a resin film, a fabric or a nonwoven.

摘要: Dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed for treating tissue with reduced pressure. A dressing for distributing reduced pressure to a tissue site includes a plurality of liquid-impermeable layers that are stacked and a plurality of spacers disposed at least partially between adjacent liquid-impermeable layers. The plurality of liquid-impermeable layers are fenestrated at least in part. The plurality of spacers and plurality of liquid-impermeable layers form a plurality of flow paths for allowing fluid flow under reduced pressure. Adjacent layers of the plurality of liquid-impermeable layers are stacked without foam between at least a majority of coextensive surfaces. Other dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed.

摘要: The illustrative embodiments described herein are directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods for applying reduced pressure to a subcutaneous tissue site. In one illustrative embodiment, the apparatus includes a membrane having a substantially uniform membrane wall thickness and a first, tissue-facing surface. The membrane may be shaped to form a plurality of protrusions on the tissue-facing surface. The plurality of protrusions at least partially defines at least one channel operable to transfer the reduced pressure along the tissue-facing surface.
