Abstract: A light guide plate includes a bottom surface and a light emitting surface disposed opposite to the bottom surface. The light emitting surface sags down and forms a hollow, which is filled with a plurality of light-emitting quantum dots (QDs). The light emitting surface capped with a cover film, so to seal the plurality of light-emitting QDs in the hollow. Also provided are a backlight module including the light guide plate and a liquid crystal display using the backlight module. The hollow that is formed in the top surface of a flat body of the light guide plate and filled with light-emitting QDs helps enhance the color gamut of the display backlight. Further, side walls that surround the hollow can be narrowed so as to easily realize a narrow edge design for the backlight module.

By removing the frame and the back plate portion on at least one incidence side and bending corresponding ends of the light guide plate and the optical assembly, multi-side backlight effect of the backlight module is achieved.

Abstract: A light guide plate includes a plate-like body, a surface thereof being a light-emitting surface, and a projection extending from a surface of the body away from the light-emitting surface along a direction opposite to the light-emitting surface. The projection separates the body of the light guide plate from the reflecting sheet, so that an air layer is formed between the light guide plate and the reflecting sheet, thus rendering the body of the light guide plate and the reflecting sheet hardly attachable to each other. Abstract: The present invention provides a light guide plate and a backlight module. The light guide plate has a light incident surface that has an arc configuration. The light guide plate includes an upper surface and a lower surface that have sides that are adjacent to the light incident surface and are respectively provided with a first slope surface and the second slope surface, so that large angle light, after being subject to an effect of convergence with the arc light incident surface, is subjected to total internal reflection at the first slope surface and the second slope surface to have the light guided into the light guide plate. The light guided into the light guide plate, after transmission and reflection, projects out through a light exit surface thereby improving light utilization and increasing light coupling efficiency. Since the light guide plate having the above-described structure demonstrates an excellent effect of convergence for light of all angles, the light guide portion of the light guide plate can be structured thinner without deteriorating light coupling efficiency, thereby facilitating a design of thinning of a backlight module. The present invention provides a backlight module, which involves a light guide plate having the above-described unique structure, so that the backlight module has a reduced thickness and a bettered effect of light emission.

Abstract: The present invention provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module of the present invention includes an upper brightness enhancement film (7), which includes a central zone (71) and a lens zone (72) located between the central zone (71) and a mold frame (1). The upper brightness enhancement film (7) includes a prism structure formed on an upper surface of the central zone (71); and the upper brightness enhancement film (7) includes a lens structure formed on an upper surface of the lens zone (72). The lens structure includes a plurality of concave surfaces (721) arranged in sequence in a side-by-side manner from an edge of the upper brightness enhancement film (7) toward interior thereof. The prism structure and the lens structure of the upper brightness enhancement film (7) are integrally formed together. The lens structure of the upper brightness enhancement film (7) helps diverge light projecting outward so as to have a part of the light extending over and covering a portion of an area shielded by the light-shielding tape (8), expanding a view area of the backlight module to thereby achieving a visual effect of narrowing bezel. Further, the manufacturing process is simplified, the manufacturing cost is reduced, and product yield is increased.
