Abstract: A display apparatus includes an image inputter configured to perform communication with an external device; and a processor configured to: determine a resolution of image contents received through the image inputter, determine a bandwidth to transmit the received image contents to another display apparatus based on the determined resolution, determine a processing mode to transfer the received image contents to the different display apparatus, and control the image inputter to transmit the image contents processed according to the determined processing mode based on the determined bandwidth to the other display apparatus.

Abstract: A display apparatus communicatively coupleable to a multi display system is provided. The display apparatus includes a display; a first connector configured to receive an image from a first display apparatus of the multi display system; a processor configured to perform a control so that a feedback signal that informs of a detection of an error is transmitted to the first display apparatus through the first connector when the error is detected in the received image, a compressed image in which the image is compressed is received from the first display apparatus in response to the feedback signal, and the received compressed image is decompressed to display the decompressed image through the display; and a second connector configured to transmit the compressed image to a second display apparatus of the multi display system.

Abstract: A display apparatus displaying an image based on an image signal received from a source device is provided. The display apparatus includes a display, a display port interface to connect to the source device, a user input interface configured to receive a mode select command indicating one of a plurality of modes divided according to a vertical frequency ranges where the image is displayed, a first memory configured to store Display Port Configuration Data, a second memory configured to store Extended Display Identification Data , and a processor configured to transmit the EDID to the source device. In response to a mode select command being input, the processor controls vertical frequency information corresponding to a mode selected according to the mode select command to be stored in the DPCD and the DPCD storing the vertical frequency information instead of the EDID to the source device through the interface to be transmitted.
