    Abstract: Provided is a method by which a location server provides assistance information for location information measurement to a UE and the UE uses the assistance information to measure and obtain location information in a wireless communication system, the method including: transmitting an assistance data (AD) preconfiguration request message to a location server; receiving an AD provision message including validity information from the location server; receiving a location information request from the location server; and transmitting location information to the location server, based on the AD provision message including the validity information, wherein the validity information may include at least one of cell list information, beam list information, timer information or time window information.
