    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel including a first display area having a first light transmittance and a second display area having a second light transmittance that is higher than the first light transmittance; a camera module under the second display area that is configured to output a raw image signal; a compensation module configured to: activate in response to a compensation control signal; receive the raw image signal; and compensate the raw image signal through a compensation program utilizing a learning data-based deep learning algorithm to generate a compensation image signal; and a control module configured to control operations of the display panel, the camera module, and the compensation module.

    Abstract: A display panel includes a base layer including a first area including a display area and a transmission area and a second area around at least a portion of the first area and having a light transmittance lower than the first area, and first pixels, each of the first pixels including sub-pixels in the display area; and a dummy electrode in the display area. Each of the sub-pixels of the first pixel includes a pixel circuit including first transistors and a light emitting element connected to the first transistors, each of the first transistors includes a semiconductor pattern unit and a gate electrode overlapping the semiconductor pattern unit, and the dummy electrode is spaced from the semiconductor pattern unit in a plan view.

    Abstract: A method for driving an electronic device is described. The method may include receiving light passing through a display panel, generating an image signal based on the light, compensating the image signal with a compensation algorithm to generate a compensated image signal, wherein the compensation algorithm is trained with training data including a first comparison image and a second comparison image, and displaying, on the display panel, a compensated image based on the compensated image signal, wherein the first comparison image is a target restoration image and the second comparison image is a composite image.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a base substrate and pixels. The base substrate includes first and second regions and a bending region therebetween. The pixels are on a front surface of the base substrate in the first region and are spaced apart from the second region. A drive circuit is on the second region and is electrically connected with the display panel. First and second plates are on a rear surface of the base substrate and overlap at least a portion of the first and second regions, respectively. The first plate includes a first surface facing the bending region. The second plate includes a second surface facing the bending region. A reinforcing member is on the rear surface of the base substrate and covers at least a portion of at least one of the first and second surfaces.
