Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed for providing modified orbital assistance data to a mobile station to determine its location using global navigation satellite system (GNSS). The modified orbital assistance data may include predicted orbital information for the GNSS satellites combined with antenna phase center offset data for one or more GNSS satellites. The antenna phase center offset data may indicate an offset distance from the center of mass of the GNSS satellite to a position on an antenna of the respective GNSS satellite. The modified orbital assistance data may be in an earth-centered earth-fixed (ECEF) frame of reference and the antenna phase center offset data may be in a body-centered frame of reference.

Abstract: A method of determining a location of a measurement device includes determining, at a server: measurement times of first positioning signal measurements, of first positioning signals from first positioning signal sources and/or a subset of positioning signal sources of second positioning signal sources. The method includes sending at least one measurement command from the server to the measurement device to cause the measurement device to obtain the first positioning signal measurements in accordance with the measurement times and/or obtain second positioning signal measurements of second positioning signals sent from the subset of positioning signal sources. The method includes: receiving, at the server from the measurement device, measurement data corresponding to the first positioning signal measurements and/or the second positioning signal measurements; and determining, at the server, the location of the measurement device based on the measurement data.

Abstract: An Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) and/or Differential GNSS (DGNSS) system is disclosed in which correction data from a plurality of reference stations is provided to the mobile device. A selection of reference stations (from which correction data is provided to the mobile device) can be made based on factors such as the approximate location of the mobile device, geometry of the reference stations, and/or other factors. The mobile device can combine the correction data from the plurality of reference stations in different ways to determine an accurate position fix for the mobile device, without interpolating correction data from the plurality of reference stations.

Abstract: Techniques described herein leverage multi-constellation, multi-frequency (MCMF) functionality to provide a local Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) solution for a mobile device in which an initial highly-accurate location determination for the mobile device can be leveraged to generate RTK correction information that can be used to make subsequent, highly-accurate location determinations without the need for measurement information from an RTK base station. This RTK correction information can be applied to Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) measurements taken by the mobile device over a long period of time while retaining the ability to produce highly-accurate location determinations for the mobile device. And additional correction information may be obtained and applied to the RTK correction information to extend this period of time even longer.

Abstract: Techniques provided herein are directed toward resolving a direction of travel of a mobile device based on MEMS sensor data by identifying a type of motion the mobile device is subject to and offsetting vertical acceleration data with horizontal acceleration data by a predetermined time offset based on the identified type of motion. The offset vertical and horizontal acceleration data can then be used to resolve, with an increased accuracy, a direction of travel of the mobile device.

Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a spoofing alert message from either a server or an internet-of-things (IOT) device that indicates whether a spoofed Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) condition is present. Based on determining that the spoofing alert message indicates that a spoofed GNSS condition is present, the UE determines, based on the spoofing alert message, a location of a spoofer broadcasting a spoofed GNSS signal, determines, based on the location of the spoofer and a current location of the UE, that the UE is within a receiving area of the spoofed GNSS signal, and determines a position of the UE without using the spoofed GNSS signal.

Abstract: Techniques for Ultra Wide-Lane (UWL) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning a mobile device may include obtaining, using a multi-band GNSS receiver of the mobile device: a first carrier-phase measurement of a first GNSS signal on a first GNSS carrier frequency, and a second carrier-phase measurement of a second GNSS signal on second GNSS carrier frequency. Techniques may further comprise providing a position estimate of the mobile device, wherein: the position estimate is determined from a wide-lane (WL) combination of the first carrier-phase measurement and the second carrier-phase measurement, and the WL combination has a combined carrier phase noise that is less than a pseudo-range noise of the first carrier-phase measurement and a pseudo-range noise of the second carrier-phase measurement.
