Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for oscillator frequency error estimation. In an aspect, an electronic device receives, from a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), a plurality of temperature measurements of an oscillator of the electronic device, determines a temperature noise level estimate of the oscillator based on the plurality of temperature measurements, determines, based on the temperature noise level estimate, a set of parameters for determining a frequency error estimate of the oscillator, and determines the frequency error estimate of the oscillator based on the set of parameters.
Abstract:
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines a failure to receive an MSI for a first MSP. The UE attempts to decode one or more subframes in the first MSP. The UE detects an occurrence of an MSP abort decoding event. The UE determines that the first MSP does not include any subframe that carries MBMS data of an MBMS segment based on the detection of the MSP abort decoding events. The UE aborts the attempt to decode the one or more subframes.
Abstract:
An aspect of the disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE) including: at least one antenna; a transceiver coupled to the at least one antenna, wherein the transceiver comprises: a resonator oscillator configured to generate a resonator signal; and a temperature sensor configured to generate a temperature signal related to a temperature of the resonator oscillator; an applications processor coupled to the transceiver; and a resonator field calibrator coupled to the applications processor and the transceiver.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for excluding a measurement gap duration from an inactivity timer period. An example method generally includes maintaining an inactivity timer used to track a number of time intervals during which no downlink transmission is received by the UE; and excluding time intervals occurring during a measurement gap when updating the inactivity timer.
