Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for trimming content for projection within the bounds of a projection target. The systems and methods trim the content for projection based on one or more characteristics of the projection target, including a shape, outline, and distance to the projection target. Moreover, the systems and methods designate void areas where no content will be projected based on the one or more characteristics, and the void areas will be generated or otherwise projected along with the content so that the content is projected onto the projection target and the void areas are projected outside of the projection target such that the projected content does not significantly spill onto surfaces or objects outside of the projection target.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) groups a plurality of images. The UE displays a first image among the plurality of images, determines an object of interest within the first image and a desired level of zoom, and determines to lock onto the object of interest in association with one or more transitions between the plurality of images. The UE determines to transition to a second image among the plurality of images, and detects, based on the lock determination, the object of interest within the second image. The UE displays the second image by zooming-in upon the object of interest at a level of zoom that corresponds to the desired level of zoom.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for alternating projection of content and capturing an image. The method includes steps of projecting, by a projection device, content at a first rate, projecting, by the projection device, a capture frame at a second rate, and capturing, by an image capture device, an image including the capture frame at the second rate, wherein capturing the image comprises capturing the image when the capture frame is projected. Systems and methods provided herein may provide increased tracking accuracy by a projecting a capture frame that does not obscure features in the image.
Abstract:
A method of providing mode changes to wireless devices is provided. The method may include receiving a request from a wireless device to connect with a network device and sending a signal to the wireless device to enter a location defined mode.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention disclose methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer-readable media for taking and sharing pictures of objects of interest at an event or an occasion. A device implementing embodiments of the invention may enable a user to select objects of interest from a view displayed by a display unit coupled to the device. The device may also have pre-programmed objects including objects that the device detects. In addition, the device may detect people using the users' social networks by retrieving images from social networks like Facebook® and LinkedIn®.
Abstract:
Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure are provided for seamlessly extending interactive inputs. In an embodiment, a method comprises detecting with a first sensor at least a portion of an input by a control object. The method also comprises determining that the control object is positioned in a transition area. The method further comprises determining whether to detect a subsequent portion of the input with a second sensor based at least in part on the determination that the control object is positioned in the transition area.
Abstract:
Methods and systems according to one or more embodiments are provided for combining touch inputs and offset non-touch gestures. In an embodiment, a method includes concurrently capturing touch input data on a screen of a user device and non-touch gesture input data, the non-touch gesture input data being indicative of a gesture performed in an area offset from the screen of the user device to inhibit obstruction of a user's view of the screen. The method also includes determining an input command based at least in part on a combination of the concurrently captured touch input data and the non-touch gesture input data. In addition, the method further includes affecting an operation of the user device based on the determined input command.
Abstract:
Techniques and apparatus are described for obtaining user input via a stylus configured to serve as an interface for providing user input into a computing device. The computing device may obtain rotation-related information indicative of rotational position or rotational movement of the stylus about a longitudinal axis of the stylus. The computing device may identify an operation in response to the rotation-related information, and perform the identified operation.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention are directed toward providing ongoing authentication using biometric data. Fingerprints and/or other biometric data can be captured during the normal use of an electronic device, such as typing on a keyboard, and compared with associated reference biometrics to provide ongoing authentication to an application while the electronic device is being used. Comparison results may further be combined with additional physiological or behavioral biometrics to determine a level of authentication encompassing multiple biometric inputs and/or types.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for performing an action based on a detected gesture are provided. The systems and methods provided herein may detect a direction of an initial touchless gesture and process subsequent touchless gestures based on the direction of the initial touchless gesture. The systems and methods may translate a coordinate system related to a user device and a gesture library based on the detected direction such that subsequent touchless gestures may be processed based on the detected direction. The systems and methods may allow a user to make a touchless gesture over a device to interact with the device independent of the orientation of the device since the direction of the initial gesture can set the coordinate system or context for subsequent gesture detection.
