Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for line of sight (LOS) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) signaling aspects are described. In some examples, a wireless device may transmit, to a network device, a capability message indicating that the wireless device supports a LOS mode. In such examples, the wireless device may receive, from the network device in response to the capability message, a control message indicating activation of the LOS mode and at least one LOS mode parameter based at least in part on a channel measurement associated with a wireless channel between the wireless device and the network device indicating that the wireless channel satisfies a LOS path criterion. In some examples, the wireless device may communicate a message with the network device in accordance with the LOS mode parameter.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein for a probabilistically shaped message to meet a quality requirement of an empirical probability distribution of the probabilistic shaped message being close to a target probability distribution. The closeness of the empirical probability distribution to the target probability distribution may be measured with a distribution closeness metric that is compared to a threshold. The distribution closeness metric may quantify a difference between the empirical probability distribution and the target probability distribution. Additionally, the distribution closeness metric may quantify a difference between respective moments of one or more orders of the empirical probability distribution and the target probability distribution.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may be configured to transmit one or more reference signals to a second wireless device using a first antenna array at the first wireless device and in accordance with a first precoder matrix. The first wireless device may receive, from the second wireless device based on the one or more reference signals, a feedback message indicating an estimated rotational misalignment, an estimated spatial misalignment, or both, between the first antenna array at the first wireless device and a second antenna array at the second wireless device. The first wireless device may then transmit a message to the second wireless device in accordance with a second precoder matrix that is modified relative to the first precoder matrix based at least in part on the estimated rotational misalignment, the estimated spatial misalignment, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a transmitting device may generate a parity check matrix based on performing a lifting operation on a base matrix. Each column of the base matrix may correspond to a different variable node and each row may correspond to a different check node. The transmitting device may then generate a set of coded bits based on the parity check matrix and each coded bit of the set of coded bits may be associated with a respective variable node. Further, the transmitting device may interleave the set of coded bits such that subsets of the set of coded bits associated with a same variable node are mapped to a same channel reliability level and transmit the set of coded bits according to the interleaving.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support power allocation or resource allocation for non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes a user equipment (UE) randomly selecting a parameter value associated with a power level of multiple power target levels, and transmitting, to a network entity and using the power level, an uplink communication. In a second aspect, a method of wireless communication includes a UE receiving, from a network entity, an indicator that indicates multiple resource candidates, each resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates overlaps with at least one other resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates, and transmitting, to the network entity and using a resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates, an uplink communication. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For example, the described techniques provide for a wireless device transmitting an initial transmission associated with a data payload, such as a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) payload. The initial transmission may include a set of bits modulated using a first bit ordering scheme, and the set of bits may include a first bit subset that are transmitted with a lower transmission reliability than a second bit subset of the set of bits. The wireless device may modulate the first bit subset using a second bit ordering scheme that differs from the first bit ordering scheme to generate a modulated bit set. The second bit ordering scheme may be associated with a higher transmission reliability for the first bit subset. The wireless device may transmit the second transmission for the data payload with the modulated bit set.
