    Abstract: A Raman probe includes: a first illuminating fiber and a second illuminating fiber that are arranged in series and that are formed of different materials from each other; a coupling optical system for optically coupling the first and second illuminating fibers; a light-collecting fiber that is formed of the same material as the second illuminating fiber and that collects Raman scattered light from an examination subject; and an optical filter that is disposed between the first and second illuminating fibers and that selectively transmits a laser beam being guided by the first illuminating fiber and, of Raman scattered light of the first illuminating fiber excited by the laser beam, Raman scattered light the amount of Raman shift of which is smaller than a predetermined amount of Raman shift in a Raman spectrum of the examination subject.

    Abstract: With a spectroscopic analysis method of the present invention, by performing principal component analysis on optical spectra measured at individual positions of a specimen, principal components of a plurality of orders that constitute the individual optical spectra are calculated; for the individual orders, principal-component images in which values thereof are principal-component scores of the individual principal components corresponding to the positions are created; distribution patterns of the principal-component scores are identified in the individual principal-component images; the morphology of the specimen is identified in a morphological image in which the specimen is captured; the principal-component images that have principal-component-score distribution patterns correlated with the morphology of the specimen are identified; and the individual optical spectra are reconstructed by using the principal components of orders corresponding to the orders of the identified principal-component images.

    Abstract: Provided is a spectroscopic analysis apparatus including: an optical probe; and a spectroscopic analysis portion to which the optical probe is attached. The optical probe includes an optical fiber that guides illumination light coming from a light source and signal light coming from an observation target and an optical member that is disposed at least at a distal end of the optical fiber. The spectroscopic analysis portion includes an information separation portion that generates wavelength dependent characteristics by optically dispersing the signal light and that separates, from information about the signal light, information about first return light returning from the optical member and information about second return light returning from the optical fiber, a problem determining portion that determines a problem occurring at the optical probe based on the separated first return light and second return light, and a notification portion that notifies information about the determined problem.

    Abstract: A spectral measurement method of the present invention includes: a measuring step of measuring optical spectra of some sections specified among a plurality of sections on a specimen; a scalar-value calculating step of calculating, for individual measured sections, scalar values that represent information contained in the obtained optical spectra; an interpolating step of interpolating scalar values of unmeasured sections by using the calculated scalar values and by using two types of interpolation methods; an identifying step of identifying sections in which absolute values of differences between the two scalar values interpolated by using the two types of interpolation methods are equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold; and a repeating step of re-executing steps from the measuring step to the identifying step after specifying the identified sections.
