Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques that enable an efficient Radio Link Monitoring (RLM) for a User Equipment (UE) in a multi Transmitter Receiver Point (mTRP) scenario. For this purpose, a serving cell of a serving Distributed Unit (DU) of a disaggregated network node and at least one non-serving (or stand-by) cell of a non-serving DU of the disaggregated network node are configured fora UE. Then, the UE is informed of beams used for the serving and non-serving cells. The UE performs the RLM over the serving cell by using the beams of the serving cell. Whenever there is an Radio Link (RL) quality degradation (which may potentially lead to an RL Failure (RLF)) detected in the serving cell, the UE may initiate switching of the RLM from the serving cell to one of the non-serving cells by transmitting a corresponding request to the serving DU.

Abstract: Improved techniques of handover involving dual connectivity configuration with CHO include configuring a UE with a conditional fallback configuration (CFC) linked to M-RLF event at the source MN. Specifically, the MN prepares a fallback configuration along with the CHO configuration for the UE. This fallback configuration is provided to the UE as a conditional configuration, but this is not linked to measurement-event but rather to a radio link failure event. The condition is linked to MCG-RLF along with additional measurement criteria.

Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus configured to perform as a base station central unit control plane node, setup, into an inactive state, a protocol connection with at least one client node, wherein the apparatus does not control or actively serve the said client node while the protocol connection is in the inactive state, synchronize, while the protocol connection is in the inactive state, at least one control plane user equipment context of the base station from a second base station central unit control plane node which controls the at least one client node, and responsive to receiving an instruction from outside the apparatus, switch the protocol connection into an active state and begin controlling the at least one client node. Abstract: Techniques are provided for enabling user equipment (UE) context retrieval in radio resource control RRC inactive status with a shared radio access network (RAN) database (DB) within a distributed database architecture. A version indicator in an inactive Radio Network Temporary Identifier (I-RNTI) is populated by the UE to indicate one or more I-RNTI versions, defined herein, and indicates the type of data in the remainder of the I-RNTI used for communicating the location of a RAN DB that stores the UE context, to a target network node. The target network node then uses the data in the I-RNTI, further dependent on the I-RNTI version, to retrieve the UE content from the RAN database. Certain embodiments utilize a RAN DB Area (RDBA) and/or RAN DB Set Area (RDSA), and certain embodiments utilize a network node set ID.
